SVP, Engagement Strategy
The SVP, Engagement Strategy acts as a leader of the agency's practice of, and steward of Fishawack's investment in engagement strategy within the pharmaceutical industry. This key role reconciles current realities with future-focused vision of marketing and customer engagement. The SVP will architect, author, and publish the Fishawack approach to informing, creating, communicating, and optimizing engagement strategy. This is a hands-on, roll-up-your-sleeves, see-the-big-picture, and understand-the-details kind of job.
As a member of the strategy leadership team, you will play a key role in shaping how engagement strategy is practiced in the newly forming Fishawack Health organization. You will help conceive and refine processes that enhance collaboration among strategy, analytics, media, scientific, creative, and account teams, to produce strategic recommendations that lead to significant business outcomes. Responsibilities

• Lead and steward: Acts as a leader of the agency's practice of, and steward of Fishawack's investment in, engagement strategy in the pharmaceutical industry
• Think and do: Consult on the planning and development of key client deliverables to support team members as needed
• Architect and author of practice: Architect, author, and publish the Fishawack approach to informing, creating, communicating, and optimizing engagement strategy. You will establish best practices and common knowledge from which our Project teams operate. Experiments and evolves practice with the intent of transparency.
• Builder and manager of engagement experts: Constructs and manages the team of strategic resources both FTE and external. Develops and retains top talent. Models desired behaviors for judgement for strategists and broader agency staff.
• External face and voice of engagement strategy: Serve as Fishawack's external face and voice of engagement strategy - for current clients, in new business pursuits, at industry events and in other marketing/self-promotional settings

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in business, marketing or communications or related field required
• Master of Business Administration, Marketing, or related field preferred
• 12-15 years of marketing experience specifically in multi-channel digital space
• 5-10 years of working in pharma/healthcare (HCP, patient, and consumer experience)
• Minimum of 5 years working in an agency or consultancy
• Experience immersing in brand objectives
• Proven experience being an articulate storyteller and planner
• Comfortable frequently toggling between objectives and execution
• Demonstrable experience in building, managing, and growing a functional group or team of experts
