POSITION SUMMARY:
The Team Lead is primarily responsible for assisting the Supervisor – Transfers with overseeing the processing of incoming and outgoing asset transfers, client asset distributions, ROTH conversions and re-characterizations and internal asset transfers while ensuring processes are carried out in accordance with MTC’s established SLAs and procedures. In addition, the Team Lead will assist with the design and execution of special projects. The incumbent will work closely with investment sponsors, clients, and other internal departments to facilitate requests and research and resolve any issues that arise. The ideal incumbent will have the ability to multi-task while also being detail oriented, they should be reliable, and come to work each day with a positive attitude.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
- Support the team by performing daily work during periods of high volume or staff absences
- Assist team members with questions or issues as they arise and help to ensure processing remains within required SLAs
- Review and approve incoming and outgoing transfer paperwork and transactions
- Work closely with internal departments and outside sponsors and clients to clear pending issues
- Assist with the design and implementation of procedures and ongoing process improvements to maximize efficiency, accuracy and control, optimize resources and drive automation
- Create and maintain written operating procedures related to assigned functions
- Actively share ideas to improve department processes and efficiencies
- Ensure that work generated consistently adheres to Company policies and procedures and meets established service levels
- Oversee and assist with various projects to ensure proper implementation and timely completion
- Other duties as assigned
EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS REQUIRED:
- Bachelor's Degree in Business, Finance, Accounting or related field
- 5 - 7 years of applicable experience
- Demonstrated leadership abilities
- Possess a strong aptitude for numbers and reconciliations
- Demonstrated project management abilities
- Proven ability to be detail- oriented, organized, dependable, and flexible
- Proactive and analytical with the ability to problem-solve and propose solutions
- Operate efficiently, with a high degree of accuracy and follow-through
- Proven ability to both prioritize and manage multiple tasks to completion
- Ability to work effectively and accurately under pressure
- Possess excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Operate with a high sense of responsibility and conscientiousness in delivering results
- Optimistic with a consistently positive and flexible attitude
- Strong computer aptitude with proficiency with Microsoft Outlook, Excel and Word
- Working knowledge of Trust Accounting System, IRAs, taxability of distributions, and alternative assets a plus
