What You'll Bring:
- 2+ years of project delivery, project management, coordination, or similar
- Organization skills and a strong attention to detail
- Ability to take direction from management and work both independently and as part of a collaborative team
- High level of motivatation and a commitment to self-development
- Able to effectively communicate testing goals to vendor and the resulting findings to key stakeholders and technical staff
- Familiarity with several of these areas: security tools, testing methodologies, security concepts, network architecture and computer architecture
- Familiarity with various types of penetration testing methodologies (Network, Wireless, Application, etc.)
- Familiarity with various types of compliance frameworks (PCI, HITRUST, HIPAA, etc.)
We'd Love to See:
- 2+ years in Information Systems, Information Security or related field
- Bachelor’s degree in Project Management, Information Technology, Business Information Systems, Computer Science or a related field
- Possess or willingness to obtain one of the following certifications (or similar): GPEN, GWAPT, OSCP, CISSP, eCPPT, etc.
Impact You'll Make:
The successful candidate will work closely with the VTM team and play a critical role scheduling, tracking and coordinating application, network and wireless penetration tests conducted by TransUnion’s external testing vendors.
The ideal candidate will be capable of both balancing the demands of shifting schedules and communicating with stakeholders across the globe and sufficiently technical to understand the content of the delivered reports.
The Attack Surface Reduction team is responsible for evaluating TransUnion’s global attack surface and leading efforts to reduce its attack surface via the Secure Software Development Lifecycle and Vulnerability Management Framework.
- Schedule and coordinate security testing for TransUnion globally
- Participate in the reporting of findings with TransUnion’s risk management platform
- Maintain relationships with testing vendors
- Collaborate across teams to build knowledge sharing and partnerships in support of the team’s efforts and goals
- Evaluate the results of penetration tests for consistency and quality
- Grow/Strengthen security skills by assisting the Vulnerability Threat Management team with some of their day-to-day responsibilities
- Stay up-to-date on modern attack techniques
