We are currently looking for a Treasury Middle/Back Office Operations Manager

Overview:

As the Treasury Operations Manager, you will be responsible for exception/escalation management received via workflows and other sources across entire team. The role requires solid leadership skills to establish a strong control environment - with the successful identification, assessment, monitoring and control of risk issues present within the group.

The North America Treasury Operations department supports back and middle office functions for the Corporation's own $100 billion securities, money market, borrowings, and derivatives portfolios managed by the Treasury department. Day to day, the Treasury Operations unit provides support for and ownership of trade entry approval, collateral reporting, general ledger accounting, reconciliation support, trade fail resolution, security/swap accounting set up in trade order entry systems, swap dealer compliance reporting, and other.

Major Duties

• Leads the development and successful implementation of systems, processes and projects changes for the Treasury Ops group• Role is balanced between high level operational execution and development, and execution of strategic direction of business function activities• Partners with Treasury on Trading/Accounting/Regulatory/Reporting technology roadmap strategy and implementations• Accountable for the department's identification, assessment, monitoring and control of risk issues including knowledge transfer and key man risk, transfer of work and duality, and business continuity planning.• Analyzes and closes any gaps in implementing process/procedure changes in the Treasury Ops team• Conducts performance management and career development processes, provides input for staffing and disciplinary actions• Carries out activities that are large in scope, cross-functional and technically difficult• Negotiates with senior leaders across the business• Manages relationship with internal and external auditors• Leads the development of the division strategic plan and sets goals and priorities based on the direction set for the unit; follows through to ensure that objectives are met

Qualifications:

• 7+ years of management experience working in a financial institution, fixed income trading or operations, regulatory agency, audit firm, consulting firm, or related field with experience in treasury operations or senior operations experience.• A College or University degree and/or relevant proven work experience is required. • Related Industry qualification is preferred.• CPA certification is a plus• MBA or Master's degree preferred • Excellent oral and written communication skills are required. • In-depth Functional / Industry Knowledge of Capital Markets is required.• In-depth knowledge of fixed income bond accounting is required.• Knowledge of CFTC Dodd-Frank Swap Data Reporting and Sarbanes-Oxley is required.• Leadership and organizational skills are required to develop periodic goals and to manage and motivate team members towards the goals set. • Excellent influencing and negotiation skills are required
