Job Description
Part of a professional team of IT resources defining and maintaining our Apple/Mac estate and enhancing our Mac infrastructure using VMware Workspace One. Primarily responsible for developing standards and procedures required to design, create and maintain MacOS deployment methods. Including implementing scripts, configuring policies and the coordination of upgrades. Will be acting as a subject matter expert on everything Apple, MacOS and Workspace One.
Scope of Responsibilities / Expectations
Responsibilities/Duties Include, but are not limited to:
Manage VMware Workspace One and Apple DEP for MacOS device enrollment with a future rollout to Windows devices.
Perform console configuration, policy definition and package creation for the enrollment and management of MacOS & Windows devices using VMWare Workspace One.
Provide technical support, troubleshooting, monitoring and management of the Unified Endpoint Management (UEM) tool VMWare Workspace One.
Responsible for establishing and maintaining technical documentation of the design, deployment, policies and operational procedures to support the UEM environment.
This individual must possess strong analytical and problem solving skills, as well as the ability to work in a team environment.
Participate in continual improvement of ITIL processes through the development and implementation of supporting documentation and procedures.
Desired Background/Knowledge/Skills
Apple Certified Macintosh Technician (ACMT) /Apple Certified Desktop Technician (ACDT).
Expert knowledge of Apple Device Enrollment Program (DEP).
Expert knowledge with Apple MacOS devices.
Expert knowledge with Endpoint Management tools specifically VMware Workspace ONE Unified Endpoint Management (UEM).
Strong knowledge and experience with PowerShell & C scripting.
Experience with Apple Configurator.
Excellent knowledge of PC and desktop hardware.
Hands-on hardware troubleshooting experience.
Technical knowledge of current protocols, operating systems, and standards.
Able to read and understand technical manuals, procedural documentation and OEM guides.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Ability to communicate effectively with others, both orally and in writing.
ServiceNow Experience
Android and IOS experience
Prior experience with VMWare Workspace One
Basic Requirements
Bachelor degree in Computer Science or related field
5+ years IT/Computer experience
One or more of the following certifications: ACMT ( Apple), Comptia A+ Certification, Google IT Support Professional
