The Team

Just as importantly, they’ll need to collaborate regularly with our engineers, designers, customers, and stakeholders to understand what must be done and why. We’re looking for a dynamic new teammate who’s comfortable scoping out the use cases of a new API one moment, providing design critique the next, and finishing up by building out a roadmap around a new feature—or has the willingness to learn these skills. The Role

We are looking for a collaborative and analytical Product Manager to drive not only our vision but one of the most exciting teams at Arity within our Insurance Segment. This role will work closely with data scientists and engineers on our agile scrum team to bring products to market that will revolutionize the way insurance companies use telematics data – data obtained from sensors in mobile phones, connected cars, and other IoT devices. This role will continue to refine the product features of our new product, Arity IQ, which allows insurers to price consumers on their actual driving behavior.

You must have a strong technical and analytical background and be able to think holistically about opportunities that our valuable data can be used to drive business value for insurance companies. You will be involved in continuing to shape the strategic product vision as well as manage product discovery, roadmaps and manage a Jira backlog to maximize the value that Arity delivers to the insurance industry through our telematics product suite.

What you’ll be doing

  • Refine and execute Arity’s Insurance product strategy using a data-driven approach to make decisions.
  • Define and manage metrics to measure the success of your efforts.
  • Know your customer by speaking with current and potential customers to understand their needs.
  • Validate assumptions with discovery/test & learn activities.
  • Manage the product backlog for your engineering and analytical scrum teams. 
  • Ensure the successful and timely execution of development standards & requirements.
  • Collaborate cross functionally on ideas, consumer research, KPI development and go-to-market strategies.
     

Qualifications

  • 5+ years relevant product, analytics or technology development experience working in a fast-paced environment
  • Entrepreneurial with a strong inclination towards action, preferably with experience in Agile Scrum.
  • Ability to communicate complex and innovative concepts to a product development team with proven experience in data-driven decision making 
  • Ability to be self-directed and to proactively anticipate problems and seek opportunities
  • Preferred but not required: insurance industry experience; telematics experience; understanding of the regulatory environment including the Fair Credit Reporting Act (FCRA) 
  • Demonstrated ability to communicate across multiple levels of leadership
  • Undergraduate degree

The salary range for this level position is $96,500 - $174,600. The salary offered is commensurate with experience.
