Job Summary of the Communications Senior Product Manager
The Communications Senior Product Manager is responsible for leading the business strategy and delivery of a software-based communications platform capabilities including text, IVR, chat and email to increase the speed of development for communication experiences in the SMS Assist One platform. They will collaborate with a team of developers, designers, and business stakeholders to prioritize feature products. This role will leverage operations knowledge and metrics in all areas of the business to accomplish these goals. The Communications Senior Product Manager will also drive cross-functional collaboration including business leadership to ensure our SMS Assist One product continuously innovates to meets all current and future needs in alignment with the corporate and product vision.
Responsibilities of the Communications Senior Product Manager

• Define and manage the prioritized backlog of operational efficiency capabilities and features that meet both internal and external customer needs
• Collaborate with key business partners and stakeholders to discover and articulate requirements and user stories, manage and communicate the product roadmap, and deliver per customer contracts and/or requests with high quality and predictability
• Work with designers, software engineering, operations personnel and other product managers to ensure on-time delivery of product software features that focus on creating an intelligent communications platform experience improving operational and development efficiencies
• Define and analyze KPIs and metrics that inform the feature/product's success and tie to corporate intiatives
• Evolve product strategy based on market and competitive research, internal operations data analysis, and industry trends.
• Drive improvements to our existing products and identify opportunities for new product ideas

Role Specific Skills of the Communications Senior Product Manager

• Proven ability to lead cross-functional teams in iterative and incremental discovery of end user communication requirements
• Demonstrated experience in applying scrum methodologies and product management frameworks to create and deliver customer value
• Excellent ability to manage multiple priorities and effectively deliver in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
• Ability to effectively communicate at all levels of the organization, in areas with both technical and business focuses
• Ability to identify stakeholders, build relationships, and influence others to get work done
• Demonstrated understanding of call center unified communications best practices and vision for digital omnichannel strategies preferred
• Experience corporate and/or customer support operations a plus

Qualifications of the Communications Senior Product Manager

• Bachelor's degree in Software Engineering, Computer Science or equivalent work experience;
• MBA preferred
• 3+ years of experience in communications (IMS, SIP) or API product management, software engineering and/or related fields preferred
• Scrum Alliance Certified Product Owner or ScrumMaster preferred
