We are looking to hire a mainframe industry leader to influence our global mainframe service strategy, drive an unbeatable and sustainable mainframe proposition and accelerate awareness of our brand across the US and global mainframe communities.

The successful candidate will establish themselves as the “go-to” leader in our mainframe services portfolio. This candidate will drive product and value proposition evolution through conception, service definition, commercial and technical product development, support of sales, marketing, pricing and lifecycle management. This global role is an exciting opportunity for an experienced mainframe industry leader who wishes to be at the heart of a rapidly expanding hybrid IT frontrunner.

Our ever-expanding mainframe services portfolio underpins our ability to deliver flexible, dedicated and mainframe cloud solutions to clients wherever they are in their infrastructure evolution. We offer remote infrastructure management, hosted solutions, discrete mainframe service augmentations, mainframe optimization and transformation services. We enable our clients to take advantage of the combined capabilities of mainframe and public cloud to deliver business innovation.

Responsibilities

·      Demonstrably strengthen Ensono’s mainframe managed services proposition, position in the market and associated revenues

·       Collaboratively build vision, strategy, and roadmap for mainframe services, driving the continued growth of this highly scalable and sustainable business line for Ensono

·       Engage with Clients to understand and document their business challenges, test and refine Ensono’s services strategy

·       Contribute to Ensono’s overall product strategy

·       Collaborate with marketing to drive product positioning, messaging, segmentation and sales enablement

·       Build effective working relationships across Ensono’s business, particularly with sales, solution architects, operational teams, pricing, product engineering and consulting staff

·       Contribute to Ensono sales proposals, tender responses and sales presentation delivery

·       Evangelize Ensono’s product portfolio and roadmap both inside and outside the company

·       Build and maintain relationships with key technology vendors / partners

·       Drive market research about relevant mainframe services and competitors; appropriately communicating findings within Ensono service strategy community

·       Lead commercial aspects of product management including creation of business cases, cost/price modelling and some contractual aspects

·       Product ownership of mainframe services throughout their lifecycle

·       Ensure clear direction is communicated to engineering and operations teams when defining and prioritizing features, enhancements, platform improvements, and client requests

·       Produce content for white papers, Ensono website, company blog and other thought-leadership materials, working closely with the Ensono global marketing team

·       Identify and report on Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) to identify trends and opportunities

 

Skills and Experience

·       Active executive relationships within IBM and leading mainframe software vendors

·       Well known in the US mainframe user base (and beyond), with a reputation as a mainframe thought leader and go-to expert

·       Comprehensive knowledge of mainframe cost optimization and modernization opportunities / challenges

·       Experienced in product marketing, developing value propositions and sales enablement

·       Comfortable engaging at board level in large enterprises to influence and provide strategic insight in support of Ensono sales

·       Commercial depth as well as technical understanding of current and future technology directions

·       Consulting, migration and transformation program experience

·       A solid understanding of IT managed services and outsourcing environments

·       Excellent analytic, problem-solving, and decision-making skills

·       Exceptional written and oral communication skills, comfortable speaking in public about Ensono products and services (i.e. trade shows, partner events, etc.)
