Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for the Apex platform shared developer experience product, ensuring a consistent and effective user experience system-wide across multiple products and client/customer personas.
  • Accountable for developing the product strategy and driving execution for the Client Developer Experience product group including our holistic DevEx API, IAM, Support, and client technology experience strategies.
  • Oversees multiple product management processes, establishes priorities, and coordinates with teams to create schedules throughout the product life cycle.
  • Reviews and validates the ideas and plans of multiple product managers; improves the standard of work shipped by your team.
  • Constantly collaborates with other departments to build trust and understanding.
  • Facilitate hiring as well as mentorship, growth and career development of your team members.
  • Optimizes team performance, balances staff assignments, and enhances processes
  • Conducts performance reviews, reports on performance metrics, and creates plans to improve product, service, team performance.
  • Encourages a culture that values and prioritizes research-backed and customer-focused data.
  • Drive the business value of design systems and platform user experience by measuring and reporting outcomes for the full organization.
  • Position requires up to 30% time for travel. (We're a distributed company.)


The skills you'll need to succeed:

  • Bachelor's degree in a technical field (CS or engineering degree). Master's degree a plus.
  • 7+ years of product management experience (or equivalent product execution experience), 3+ years of leadership experience
  • Demonstrated success in leading large cross-functional product development teams through complex enterprise initiatives; SaaS / Cloud Architecture, API platform, Legacy app consolidation, etc.
  • Understanding of web development, API standards, and Agile practices, with a strong preference for incremental delivery.
  • Knowledge of User Experience best practices and how to bring to product to market to multiple segments of consumers.
  • Experience with process and methodology for large scale development, project execution and integration.
  • Demonstrated leadership abilities in creating clarity, generating energy, and delivering success
  • You are organized and are comfortable overseeing multiple work streams, ensuring that your team can stay focused on enabling great experiences.
  • Product Management experience building B2B SaaS solutions; Financial Services (Payments, Brokerage, Wealth Management, Trading, Clearing, Settlements, etc) industry experience is a strong plus.
  • Strong ability to listen, but also to question assumptions.
  • Ability to make decisions with imperfect information, lead without authority and be comfortable managing a team through ambiguity.
  • Excellent people and management skills to interact with staff, colleagues, cross functional teams and third parties
  • Exceptional communication at every level of the business, influencing executives and inspiring team members.
  • Comfortable using collaboration tools such as Slack, JIRA, Confluence, etc.
