Head of Product/UX
Mission:
The Head of Product/UX - in collaboration with the leadership team - is responsible for organizing and leading all aspects of the company’s product development, UX processes and the evolution of the DAIS product. You will play a critical role in re-imagining insurance and delivering value to our customers. The Head of Product/UX reports to VP, Technology.
Responisbilities:
Work with executive leadership in defining, communicating, and executing short and long - term product goals as articulated by a product roadmap aligned to the business and organizational strategy
Organize, lead, manage, and grow the Product Owners and UX Designers
Collaborate with the engineering teams to collect feedback on product improvements, develop and define future requests, define opportunities for user research and user testing, and create metrics for tracking product success
Can be strategic as well as act as an individual contributor, knows how to write stories, acceptance criteria, maintain a backlog
Comfortable to take on the role of Product Owner for an agile team if needed
Evolve the department’s standards, policies, procedures, key performance indicators, and organizational structure to support department activity and growth.
Requirements:
Experience building and managing teams of Product Owners and UX designers
A servant leader with a proven ability to mentor direct reports and can subsequently build and manage a continuously growing/evolving team. Builds an environment where top talent enjoys and wants to work
Previous experience working in an Agile product company
An experienced, organized, and efficient leader with the ability to define priorities and focus on areas that add value. Is adept at designing the processes necessary to get things done; knows how to organize people and activities; understands how to separate and combine tasks into efficient work flow
Posses a good understanding of design process, previous exposure to UX best practices, at the very least has some good insight into UX Design
Experience working in a fast-paced growing software company
Extensive experience with agile frameworks
Knowledge of the Insurance industry is a plus
