ABOUT US

We build tools for 100+ brands and retailers in the e-commerce space that help them offer free two-day shipping, same-day delivery, and product expansion into new marketplaces -- keeping them several steps ahead of the curve in a rapidly changing industry.

We are a purpose and culture driven organization that prides ourselves on connectivity, equality, diversity and inclusion. We are committed to our people as a service-oriented company as our people are at the heart of everything we do.

We are Headquartered in Chicago, with offices in New York, Conshohocken, PA (Philly area), and Krakow, Poland and we operate as a subsidiary of FedEx Services.

ABOUT THE ROLE

As part of FedEx Dataworks, ShopRunner’s digital products and solutions support online shoppers, retailers, and payment partners to improve shipping experiences.  Every week, we track more than a billion online interactions with shoppers across a network of retailers. This role will directly manage a team of business analysts who lead measurement and reporting on those interactions to inform business decisions about the effectiveness of our products.

As a manager of product analytics, you will leverage your skills in people management, product discovery, data manipulation and data storytelling, to help our organization launch and measure our products. You will analyze and model clickstream and eCommerce data and help advance our A/B experimentation practice.  And you’ll coordinate with senior leadership to understand what’s working, what we should change, and tradeoffs between tactics.

This role reports to a Senior Director of Analytics and works day-to-day as part of a large, cross-functional team.

WHAT YOU’LL DO

  • Become an expert on our digital product data, developing key stakeholder relationships with product management and engineering teams to advise on data-related decisions and work collaboratively to build and QA data sets, create reporting dashboards, and make recommendations related to product performance and insights.
  • Manage and support a team of product data analysts who are accountable for measurement, reporting, and insights for product development efforts. You should inspire a high standard on the team for relevant, timely, and rigorous insights, through continuous coaching, modeling best practices, and building cross-functional influence.
  • Ensure that we are tracking the right data to fully measure effectiveness, and also that we are scrutinizing our assumptions behind our product strategies and tactics.
  • Oversee data governance for digital product data, and leverage the expertise of analysts and engineers to ensure a consistent data taxonomy, timely instrumentation, and relevant automated reporting on user engagement and value upon product launch.
  • Bring a problem-solving mindset and hands-on analytical capabilities to think holistically about the business, measure success, assess risks, and be a steward of the data capabilities that power the business.

WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR

  • 8+ years of experience in analytics, with progressive responsibility initiating, executing, and presenting projects for cross-functional teams.
  • 1+ years of experience directly managing people and prioritizing work across a team
  • Proficient understanding of clickstream event data instrumentation and taxonomy, using tools like Amplitude, Snowplow analytics, Google Analytics, or Adobe Analytics.
  • Fluent with complex SQL queries and dataset transformations on large datasets.
  • Experience with enterprise data visualization tools, like Looker (which we use), Tableau, or Power BI.
  • Familiar with using common machine learning models (for example, using python data packages like scikit-learn) for nuanced exploration of business data.
  • Experience with managing projects and user stories with project management software (we use JIRA for this).
  • Confidence to scrutinize and share the limitations of our analyses when the data isn’t perfect.
  • BS (or equivalent project experience) in a technical field like Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, Statistics, or Marketing Analytics.

We want you to bring your whole human self to work every single day. We accept you for who you are and consider everyone on an equal opportunity basis without regard to race, color, religion, gender, gender identity or expression, sexual orientation, national origin, genetics, disability, age, or veteran status.
