The Platform Product Manager defines the strategy, roadmap, and requirements for platform services that enable Syntellis to deliver products across Healthcare, Higher Education, Financial Institution, and Data teams. The role is focused on the technical platform on which all Syntellis products are built. The ideal candidate has deep technical product management experience, can see the big picture, dive into the details, and be comfortable working closely with non-technical business stakeholders and highly technical engineers.

Specific Responsibilities

• Work across Healthcare, Higher Education, Financial Institutions, and Data to develop a portfolio view of challenges and opportunities
• Develop and evangelize a strategic vision for platform services
• Understand and document market problems through direct market interaction, including client calls, site visits, and trade shows
• Evaluate competitive data and technology trends to ensure that we are maximizing our market impact by offering best of breed solutions
• Produce high-quality roadmaps by qualifying, analyzing, and prioritizing opportunities
• Translate high-level roadmaps into persona-driven user stories and act as the Product Owner for the platform development team
• Evangelize a consistent adoption of platform technologies across the portfolio
• Partners with product specific agile teams to release platform features effectively and efficiently
• Ensures organizational release readiness through training activities and documentation

Qualifications

• Successful history of building products and capabilities
• At least 5 years of software Product Management experience
• Experience as a technical product management or equivalent role
• Technical knowledge, including experience with micro-services
• Self-starter with the ability to work with all company functional areas (product, sales, implementation consulting, platform development, support, training, etc.)
• Practical experience with agile methodologies and scrum
• Proficiency with Aha! and TFS a plus
• Pragmatic certification a plus
• Bachelor’s degree required
