The Software Enterprise Data & Common Services product management team drives the vision, strategy, roadmap and product requirements for SaaS applications and underlying common services for public safety and enterprise customers. Our mission is to provide our users with the tools and workflows they need to facilitate decision-making with actionable intelligence assembled from all sources of information available in a manner that is simple and secure.
We are hiring a Product Manager to lead the product experience for Search across the public safety platform. This product manager will be responsible for driving the platform charter to enable new search verticals to onboard Search efficiently, craft a consistent and intuitive experience that gives our users easy access to all the content they require across the platform, and work with our UX, AI and engineering teams to deliver a world-class search platform and experience.
The role is responsible for developing and maintaining a big-picture vision and roadmap that supports the Company’s strategic goals for its applications. The product manager validates and develops ideas based on industry experience and contact with customers and internal key stakeholders. This individual must possess a strong blend of business and technical skills and must enjoy spending time in the market to understand the customers’ needs.
An ideal candidate will possess excellent communication skills and enjoy working in a cross matrixed, distributed, and highly collaborative team environment. We are seeking an exceedingly organized, results-oriented individual, who knows how to redirect around pitfalls, remain flexible and positive in an ever-changing environment.
Work with user experience/human factors teams to develop workflows and with application owners across the business to ensure a consistent suite level experience.
Understand and lead analyses of the competitive environment, customers, application metrics from across the product portfolio and other business intelligence to determine the right set of capabilities to drive engagement and use of Search.
Form and articulate vision, strategy and requirements to stakeholders, engineering, data science and business partners.
Drive product requirements definition, product planning and product design (including writing PRDs) of new features and enhancements.
Communicate with other Product Managers to coordinate production of features with cross-product dependencies and deliverables
Prioritize backlog of work to ensure we are delivering the best value to our customers.
Build business models and understand the cost drivers for cloud services.
3+ years of hands-on experience working on Search or recommendations at scale.
Successful deployment of Search experiences and features.
Self-directed, operationally minded and experience partnering with UX and Search engineering teams.
Understanding of what drives successful modern day search UX with an understanding of Search AI/relevance for both structured and unstructured data.
BS or graduate degree (MS preferred, MBA is a plus)
Knowledge of Cloud microservices and cost drivers
Strong decision-making and prioritization skills; with experience overseeing and managing production schedules.
Technical Knowledge of Cloud and Services, including engineering and design collaboration tools (Jira, Aha)
Excellent written, oral and presentation skills.
Consumer product experience with a history of managing projects that facilitate or enhance the search experience
Strong technical or engineering acumen
This role can be remote anywhere in the US
Bachelors degree with 7+ years of product management or related experience
Master's degree with 5+ years of product management or related experience
