Product Manager - Supply Chain Master Data

- Prior Agile Product Management experience, preferably on Master Data Management (MDM) or Product Information Management (PIM) tools.
- Experience translating business needs into a product feature roadmap
- Ability to lead a cross-functional, international team and manage indirect reports to achieve organizational goals.
- Expertise in digital project and product planning, including product definition, feature prioritization, trade-off processes, and roadmap creation.
- We desire a curious, highly organized, task minded, self-starter with an ambitious ability to understand the value of well-governed foundational data to the organization.
- Ability to deliver results through well thought out planning and detailed execution to plan, applying continuous improvement concepts while striving for innovation and supporting change.
· 8+ years IT experience in Project Management, Product Management, Solutions Design, Business Analysis
· Knowledge/experience in supply chain Master Data Management (MDM) and/or Product Information Management (PIM) solutions
· Bachelor’s degree – Supply chain, IT or related experience desired
· Excellent verbal and written communication skills and the ability to communicate technical information to non-technical audiences
· Demonstrated ability to organize, facilitate, and recap meetings
· Experience working in a client-facing role with the ability to build strong relationships
· Process mapping, workflow analysis, data modeling, and design tools experience
· Strong problem-solving skills and ability to focus on details as well as the big picture
The Product Manager for Supply Chain Master Data will be responsible for the strategy, prioritization, and market adoption of the tools that support the Supply Chain Master Data and processes, including features and capabilities across the Supply Chain Master Data Domains globally. This role will be focused on managing the Supply Chain Master Data services and products and setting strategic direction for the product development as well as governance of the data, process support and overseeing data quality management tools and techniques. This position will be responsible for the roadmap for feature/function, interface and system design, strategic direction of features and data that impact our global supply chain teams (internal, external and suppliers) and responsibility for overall tools available. This individual will work with various supply chain stakeholders at the Global and Market level, to ensure the requirements and design are well thought-out, well defined, and successfully implemented and that the data conforms to reasonable data standards and supports analytic functions required by the business. In addition, publish/subscription-based interfaces are made available and supported to ensure that master data is consistently single-sourced and synchronized with consuming and feeding systems.
Through this role, the Product Manager will represent the business needs of the tool by articulating, vetting, and prioritizing features within the Global Supply Chain Digitization roadmap. You will also play a crucial role in developing a robust and premier digital capability around superior quality Master Data.
You will participate as a member of a cross-functional team including Information Technology, Supply Chain Digitization, and Program Management to ensure successful product delivery.
Position Responsibilities may include:
- Assisting program leadership in determining design approach, estimating/planning, setting technical direction, and identifying necessary resources for a project.
- Helping define product requirements and roadmaps using input from market partners and various sources including analytics, market trends, technology innovations, design, industry standards, bold intelligence, and customer feedback.
- The ideal candidate has a consistent track record of prioritizing and delivering multiple successful solutions, planning complex projects, effective organizational skills, and communication expertise complimented by a strong technology background and understanding of McDonald's business. Although based in Downtown Chicago, IL, occasional travel will be required.
- Understand and anticipate the business needs and emerging technology concepts associated with Master Data Management, Product Information Management and Data Governance.
- Collaborate with partners and engineering teams on new features, feature improvements and alignment with 3rd party MDM/PIM tool feature roadmap.
- Establish and run a technical steering committee, to discuss future capabilities to prioritize initiatives and share insights on product utilization and governance.
- Collaborate across functions (e.g. Market partners, IT, and Program Management) to ensure the timely delivery of prioritized features to the business.
- Build product roadmap and release strategies to detail feature and interface prioritization for the tool and support future market adoptions of the global product.
- Responsible for managing the international rollout to markets of new Master Data products and helping them to realize the benefits and apply best practice process and tools
- Define and drive priorities for sprints and product releases, in alignment with the product roadmap. Perform retrospective reviews and support continuous improvements.
