Product Manager 

Cohesion is a leading Intelligent Buildings software solution that is disrupting how buildings operate and how people engage with buildings – from real estate owners/investors, operators, building engineers, to tenants and visitors. Our cutting-edge converged IoT-enabled platform brings together building systems, building software, and business applications into a single portal for on web and mobile platforms to forge the path to autonomous buildings. 

We are searching for a Product Manager to join our rapidly growing team in our Chicago office. This role will report to the VP of Product alongside product designers and data scientists. The Product Manager is responsible for envisioning and building products that users love and delivers measurable business value. The right candidate will enjoy solving difficult and novel problems, with the autonomy to take initiatives from ideation to delivery to future iteration.  

What You’ll Do 

• Own the end-to-end product discovery and product delivery for several areas of our software and IoT platforms 

• Collaborate with fellow product managers, product designers, engineers, and business stakeholders to pair valuable problems with thoughtful solutions 

• Lead a product delivery team of engineers in an agile development cadence and own the roadmap for the team 

• Talk with users and customers regularly to understand their motivations and affinities  

• Research emerging industry opportunities and new technologies 

• Prioritize ruthlessly to constantly focus on the most valuable initiatives for your team and the company at large 

• Communicate clearly and continuously to guide and inspire your team as well as foster buy-in from stakeholders and customers  

• Be a champion for well-built and well-designed experiences 

• Balance an innovative spirit with execution prowess to build the right things the right way 

Required Qualifications 

• 2+ years of experience building web and mobile products using agile methods and modern product management techniques 

• Excellent product sense and ability to analyze complex problems in a structured way 

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including in JIRA  

• Ability to seek and leverage data to inform decision-making and share insights 

• Capable of being a self-starter as well as a dependable team player 

• Desire to learn, grow, and improve skills by doing and actively seeking feedback 

• Conducts business and relationships in an open, honest fashion and with the highest personal integrity, treating all coworkers, clients, partners, and stakeholders respectfully 

• Position requires flexibility to work outside of non-traditional business hours as required to perform job duties.

Desired Qualifications 

• Early stage startup experience 

• Experience with data analytics tools like Amplitude, Mixpanel, Google Analytics 

• Experience with IoT products 

• Relevant education or certifications in product management
