Teachers and students around the globe use Screencastify to create instructional videos, record presentations, give better feedback, and much, much more. Our free version is used in more than half of US school districts.

Our newest product, Hubcap, is the first ever screen recorder that requires no installations or downloads — it is 100% browser based. Because it eliminates all friction previously required to create a video, we believe that Hubcap (currently in public Beta) has the potential to transform the screencasting world.

About This Role

At Screencastify, we believe in building bulletproof products that are a delight to use. We’re looking for a Product Manager who cares deeply about understanding what customers really need, is passionate (borderline obsessive) about user experience and design, and is looking for a challenging role that provides an opportunity to create a new category of software.

What You’ll Do

• Own the product vision & strategy for both Screencastify and Hubcap. Ensure that it all aligns with the overall company vision.

• Be an expert on the relevant domain, markets, and trends.

• Own the product roadmaps. Make tough tactical prioritization decisions while helping the company think long ­term. Build trust with stakeholders (customers, product team, non-product team, shareholders, etc.)  by maintaining an understandable, accurate roadmap.

• Manage requirements & collaborate with design, engineering & marketing/sales teams to ship the best products in this business. We win or lose as a team. A collaborative attitude is essential to the job.

• Represent the customer. Be the champion and voice of customers. Bring the customer’s voice into the creation process.

• Develop new opportunities. With your finger on the pulse of the market, the customers, competitors, and the engineering teams, you are uniquely positioned to discover and develop new opportunities.

You’re Perfect for This Role If You…

• Have 3-6 years of product management experience in a product-centric technology company. You can show us successful products that you have shipped.

• Are excited to get in on the ground floor of a small, rapidly-growing, fast-paced startup.

• Love the challenges, hours, and ups-and-downs of startup life.

• Get immense satisfaction when using beautifully-designed, user-centric software products.

• Thrive when working autonomously. You are able to define your own work priorities and processes.

• Write clear product specifications, build wireframes (actual designs a bonus), conduct customer interviews and perform market research independently.

• Are able to handle multiple competing priorities and tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment and adjust as needed.

• Exhibit strong customer and stakeholder empathy. You must be not only the voice of the customer, but at various times the voice of marketing, engineering, and support. You must be able to channel many points of view.

• Pay close attention to detail. You quickly noticed what’s different about this bullet point than all the others, and it bothered you

• Have strong organizational and analytical skills, excellent written and oral communication skills.
