Job Description
Scope of Responsibilities/Expectations: The product manager has responsibility for: market research; offering definition via creation of market requirements; business cases, pricing and market positioning; roadmap and lifecycle strategies; interface with field team and customers. Understand the market and customer requirements as well as competitive offerings.
Be the liason between development teams, service organizations, finance and distribution teams. Build collaborative teams and drive issues to completion. Be able to understand and communicate tradeoff decisions when faced with alternatives. Drive the creation of the go-to-market collateral material: training presentations, sales messages and strategies, proposal material, etc. Sales and customer presentations require good communications skills. Address issues and requests from field support organizations as needed.
The ideal Product Manager must possess a broad skill set, demonstrated communication and presentation skills, analytical thinking and a desire for learning that will support sustainable career growth. The product consultant will lead the definition of requirements across solutions and products. Ability to prioritize based on risk impact and customer need is a key requirement of the role.
Responsibilities:
• Define requirements for a wide variety of business environments.
• Collect and Analyze sales, revenue, and direct costs for products and recommend actions based on the
data.
• Create and update product ordering guides and marketing material in parallel with engineering developing and testing new products or add functionality to existing products.
• Coordinate demonstrations of products to aid field team sales opportunities.
• Collect and act upon voice of customer information, build roadmap of new capabilities and proposed timeline for release to public safety market.
Basic Requirements
A 4-year bachelor degree in business or related field or a 4 year engineering bachelor degree with a minor in business from an accredited college or university.
