Product Owner

Mission:

As a Product Owner you will work closely with our Development team(s) to deliver the best software solutions to our innovative industry leading products.  You will play a critical part in delivering value to our users and re-imagining insurance.

Responsibilities:

• Take lead of 1 or 2 scrum teams as the Product Owner

• Provide vision and direction to the Agile development team and stakeholders throughout the project and creation of requirements

• Ensure that the teams always have an adequate amount of prior prepared stories to work on

• Plan and prioritize product feature backlog and development for the product

• Assess value, develop cases, and prioritize stories, epics and themes to ensure work focuses on those with maximum value that are aligned with product vision

• Provide backlog management, iteration planning, and elaboration of the user stories

• Work closely with Product and Technology Leaders to create and maintain a product backlog according to business value

• Lead the planning product release plans and set expectations for delivery of new functionalities

• Provide an active role in mitigating impediments impacting successful team completion of Release/Sprint Goals

• Follow DAIS Agile/Scrum best practices

Requirements:

• 3+ years previous working experience as a Product Owner

• In-depth knowledge of Agile process and principles

• Outstanding communication, presentation and leadership skills

• Excellent organizational and time management skills

• Sharp analytical and problem- solving skills

• High attention to details

• Knowledge of the Insurance industry is a plus
