So, what’s the role?

Kin is revolutionizing the home insurance industry. We think homeowners deserve better, so we’re making the process of quoting and purchasing insurance easier.

In order to continue to offer innovative products and services, we need to expand our team of Insurance Product experts. We’re looking for innovative thinkers who agree with us, insurance can be exciting! This individual will bring their industry expertise and lend a hand to multiple areas of the business. You may be asked to give guidance to our engineers as they build features in our homegrown CRM tools, you could help with filings as we expand into new states, we may ask you to review forms and make needed changes, and you’ll work closely with our executives as we expand our business.

We’ll look to your expertise to analyze personal insurance programs including pricing, policy and forms, underwriting, claims, distribution, regulatory, planning, project management, and implementation. You’ll be needed to present findings to the business and give guidance on changes to improve our competitive position.

A day in the life could include:

-Access and analyze internal information and publicly available external information

-Identify opportunities to improve customer experience/satisfaction, customer retention, new business growth, and underwriting profits

-Organize and present findings and recommendations to peers and leadership

-Specify business requirements for system implementation

-Manage projects including planning, timeliness, and quality

-Develop content for training and communication

-Communicate and collaborate with peers, managers, and leadership teams

-Research laws and regulations and ensure projects are compliant

-Contribute to team - enthusiasm, initiative, clarity, impact programs, recognition of others

I’ve got the skills...but do I have the necessary ones?

-BS degree ideally with a focus in mathematics, finance, accounting, engineering, or other quantitative discipline

-5+ years work experience, we are open to individuals at a variety of levels of experience

-Proven, exceptionally strong quantitative skills

-Highly motivated to improve the insurance industry

-Passion for customer service and doing things the right way

-Proficient in Excel, Looker, SQL, Tableau or similar data query tools
