The team
Our Product & Program Management teams work on some of the most impactful and challenging problems in the Software industry. We are a highly collaborative cross-border group that operates on the edge between Engineering and the business and helps to design solutions from concept to launch – all while focusing on and advocating for what’s best for our customers. We work closely with Engineering and Design to create some of the most innovative never-been-done-before products. We partner with the Sales, Customer Success, Marketing, Finance, Legal, and Security teams to bring the product to market.

This position
A senior Product Manager on the CLM (Contract Lifecycle Management) Platform team is responsible for driving product initiatives to ensure that the CLM platform is highly available, resilient, secure, and scalable.  Featured as the undisputed leader in Gartner’s magic quadrant, our CLM offering manages our customers’ most critical contractual agreements and legal portfolio. Our platform security, reliability and scalability are the foundation of our entire offering. As a PM on this team, you will be responsible for leading the effort of delivering today’s platform as well as defining and driving future initiatives such as high-volume storage, object data model and security. 

You will work closely with Prospects and Customers, Compliance and Security, Support and Partner with User Experience, Engineering, IT, Marketing, Product and Program Management to develop the roadmap, vision, definition, design and deliver the underlying platform systems necessary to support our growth. Your objectives will be directly linked to business metrics such as revenue, customer satisfaction and operational efficiency.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the strategy and roadmap for managing security permissions, data model, document storage and related retention policies.
  • Lead the strategy and roadmap for managing our task queueing processes to support day to day platform operations, bulk events, and ingestions.
  • Align with best practices and leverage best in breed capabilities that DocuSign already utilizes.
  • Actively leverage primary and secondary research to deepen understanding of regulated industry customers across their lifecycle, from awareness to renewal and expansion
  • Own insights on the markets and segments in which these applications compete; stay abreast of industry trends, events, and channels to anticipate customer needs
  • Understand and profile high value, innovative use cases purchased and implemented by regulated industry customers
  • Evaluate and prioritize requirements in partnership with the business, leveraging industry best practices and new innovations. Prioritize and manage the backlog for effective release and sprint planning
  • Facilitate requirements definition across teams to decompose and document releases, epics, functional requirements to developer-ready user stories and acceptance criteria
  • Work with Program Management, Dev Ops and Engineering to ensure product ships on time and to quality
  • Actively leverage primary and secondary research to deepen understanding of regulated industry customers across their lifecycle, from awareness to renewal and expansion
  • Take a data-driven approach in defining success metrics, prioritizing requirements, and communicating the plan, progress, and success 

Basic Qualifications

  • 8+ years of experience in product management or architecture working on enterprise PaaS and SaaS offerings
  • Experience working cross-functionally with Engineering IT, Operations, Program Management, Sales and Customer Support
  • Direct experience in delivering product using iterative or Agile methodologies (e.g. SCRUM)
  • Bachelor’s Degree in a technology related area of study (CS, EE, IT, Systems, MIS, etc.)

Preferred Qualifications

  • Demonstrated success building/managing large-scale technology products including new, existing, or legacy products
  • Experience with distributed systems and platform architecture
  • Experience with security algorithms, ABAC, and other methods of identifying a user’s permissions at scale
  • Experience with data models and data mappings
  • Experience working with modern queueing systems such as Kafka, RabbitMQ.
  • Experience working with Graph Databases.
  • Strong track record of building a lasting business cross-functional partnership with both internal and external groups, especially IT, Engineering, Operations, Program Management, Sales and Customer Support
  • An experienced influencer with the ability to collaborate well in a matrixed environment having multiple stakeholders and roadmap delivery commitments
  • Experience building and using telemetry to review site performance and make data-driven decisions
  • Ability to operate in a matrixed environment influencing multiple stakeholders and roadmap delivery commitments
