Senior Product Manager - Workplace Fiduciary Solutions

The Role: Morningstar seeks a Senior Product Manager to work across our Fiduciary Solutions. Fiduciary Solutions include Morningstar Plan Advantage and our traditional fiduciary services. Morningstar Plan Advantage allows advisors to manage their retirement plan business through an innovative user interface. Traditional fiduciary services are offered directly to retirement plan providers to allow their retirement plan clients to offer higher quality lineups to their plan participants. This role is an ideal position for an experienced product manager looking to be a driver of innovation and execution for our Fiduciary Solution offerings. In this role, you will maintain relationships with strategic clients and keep abreast of the retirement plan industry in order to drive product development and inform the product roadmap. This position is located in our Chicago office.
Responsibilities:
- Develop an in-depth understanding of our Fiduciary Solutions including Morningstar Plan Advantage and traditional fiduciary services.
- Lead multiple projects concurrently. Proactively drive new business initiatives through research, documentation, and implementation.
- Prioritize Product Initiatives (new product development) based on analysis of the opportunity and competitive landscape.
- Responsible for guiding products from initial development all the way through launch, including the operational aspects of the product launch.
- Serve as the subject matter expert of our Fiduciary Solutions both internally with our development teams and externally with institutional clients.
- Engage with the retirement industry and our clients to proactively research and recommend enhancements and improvements of our offerings.
- Foster a team dynamic that is motivated to improve the customer experience and drive better retirement outcomes.
Requirements:
- 5+ years of relevant experience, with some demonstrated experience in product management desired. Retirement industry knowledge a plus
- Experience working across partner groups such as Design, Technology, Strategic Clients and Sales, Customer Support, and Product.
- Superior business judgment, data analysis, and problem solving skills
- Ability to look at situations from several points of view: internally, externally, and cross-functionally.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Self-directed and detail-oriented
- Creative thinker with an analytical approach to problem solving, an inquisitive and critical mind, strong attention to detail, and the ability to multi-task.
- Knowledge and experience in working with the Agile development framework
