Senior Vice President, Product
Job Type
Full-time
Description
Tovala has a highly unique product in an industry that's filled with copycats. We've been able to differentiate ourselves by controlling the end-to-end customer experience. Today, we develop our own recipes, produce our own food, package our own meals, build our own hardware and build/control our software stack (controlling everything from recipe development to meal ordering to the functionality of the oven). That's what allows us to deliver pre-prepped meals with raw ingredients that cook perfectly by just scanning a barcode.
We're looking for a visionary leader to take that product experience to the next level -- to define the product vision and strategy -- and to bring all of our "products" under one roof. You will report to our CEO, join our executive team, work cross functionally across every department, and help define the why behind Tovala's product strategy.
Tovala does not have a centralized product team today. Your job will be to create that team by bringing together the disparate product groups; creating a unified culture and way of doing things; bringing best practice to a multi-disciplinary, highly complex product group.
As we look to the future, we envision entirely new generations of product. Your role will be to craft the vision and strategy for those products -- and to drive the execution and project management of both, working closely with our Creative, Operations, Hardware, Marketing and Finance teams to do so. More specifically, you will be responsible for the customer-facing product and experience roadmap across all key touch points (Menu, Digital Product, Oven, Packaging and Customer Service).
Your job will cover everything from long-term strategic planning to helping build better process and structure. Some product lines might require feature work, whereas others might require big, innovative leaps. You will be responsible for making those decisions, for prioritizing among all the things we could do, and for getting your team and the organization rallied behind these decisions.
Key Responsibilities
- Set the short and long-term product vision for Tovala to deliver on its promise as customers' secret weapon in the home
- Increase NPS, retention, cumulative revenue and CSAT by driving continued improvement across the entire Tovala product experience

- Lead, coach and influence a team of product managers, chefs, engineers, designers, and analytics team members in developing realistic road maps, meeting sprint commitments, creating delightful customer experiences and driving business value

- Craft budgets, forecasts and timelines for all product initiatives in conjunction with finance and the leadership team
