It's been quite a year here, with record growth in all aspects of our business. Our Product & Engineering organization is growing to help scale and build the technology that delivers billions of customer engagements to people around the world, and we are seeking a people-oriented, analytical Talent Director to support all facets of the employee lifecycle.
The Vibes Talent Team is a group of curious, consultative, and strategic business partners. We focus on lending a people-first, data-driven approach to all aspects of business operations. This critical role will be the primary Talent Partner for the Technology organization and be responsible for driving excellence in people and performance through:
- best-in-class employee relations
- strategic organization- and role-design
- attracting and retaining top talent, and
- providing insights and guidance for Technology leaders on any and all people-related topics.
This role will also support the “People Analytics” Center of Excellence for the whole organization, using data to provide analysis and recommendations to help advance company growth and success.
An ideal candidate will have experience providing broad HR support to software engineering & product teams, full-cycle tech recruiting, coaching, and data analysis. Experience working in SaaS and/or the technology industry preferred.
This position reports into the SVP of Talent & Development and may either be remote or based in our Chicago office at 300 W. Adams Street.
Responsibilities:
HR Business Partner
- Act as the go-to Talent Partner for Technology, Product, and Finance teams
- Innovate and execute employee engagement and retention initiatives
- Understand and provide insights on the team culture and performance
- Consult Tech Leadership Team to cultivate strong teamwork and clear line-of-sight to strengths and opportunities for the team
- Coach team members on strong management practices
- Provide administrative support for talent initiatives, e.g. on-boarding/off-boarding, performance reviews, etc.
- Provide recommendations on compensation and career-pathing for all Technology employees
- Contribute to work promoting a strong employment brand for Vibes in the technology community
Talent Acquisition
- Partner with hiring managers to define roles and responsibilities, craft job descriptions, and define candidate profiles
- Manage efficient and effective interview processes
- Partner with Tech Leaders and recruiting support staff to source and attract top talent
- Create and maintain a best-in-class experience for all candidates
People Analytics
- Drive company-wide insights - analyze established data sets, ideate new areas of measurement
- Use data to make recommendations for the business based on accurate analysis and well-reasoned arguments
- Seek and earn responsibility for thought leadership, innovation, and evolution within broader Talent Team initiatives
Requirements & Qualifications:
- 2+ years’ experience as an HR Business Partner including meaningful experience in strategic planning for a department
- 2+ years’ experience in full-cycle technical recruiting for multiple stakeholders/roles
- 3-5 years' experience managing a high-performing team
- Experience with role- and/or organizational-design preferred
- Proven track record of creating strategic business value through data
- Proven history of garnering cross-functional insights, driving change through strong advocacy across levels, and learning new skills
- Must be forward-thinking and strategic
