What's the Role?
We are currently seeking a hard-working, dedicated Underwriting - Conventional Product Team Lead to join our innovative and passionate team.
Responsibilities:
- Distribute work to underwriting team according to goals and workload.
- Responds to procedural, product, and system questions for assigned Government underwriting team.
- Participates in performance review process with the Government Product Manager.
- Act as an escalation contact for government related questions and guidance.
- Manage Ceridian updates for assigned Government underwriting team.
- Keep management apprised of development as they relate to personnel, workflow and government-related projects.
- Perform other job-related duties and special products as required.
Requirements:
- BS/BA in Finance, Operations or Management preferred, or equivalent work history
- 5+ years of experience in all aspects of residential mortgage origination for both Conventional and Government loans.
- Strong knowledge of State and Federal laws pertaining to the mortgage banking industry (QM, ATR, RESPA, ECOA, AIR, etc.)
- Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook)
- Excellent customer service skills with strong attention to detail
- Strong analytical skills required with a high degree of accuracy
