The Implementation Project Manager oversees operational implementation projects for new process, technology, and service improvement implementations, coordinating the efforts across Global Service departments. The Implementation Project Manager manages the end to end implementation process to ensure seamless transition and post completion control, assuring deadlines and quality standards are met, project risks are identified and mitigated, and project participants receive timely and accurate communications regarding the status of the project. As the department's primary point of contact during the life of the project, the Implementation Project Manager bears significant responsibility in ensuring a positive experience, maintaining project scope, and verifying that project deliverables are met; potentially across multiple projects at one time.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Lead cross-functional project teams with the goal of improving the effectiveness and efficiency of core business processes within GSO

  • Lead in the organization, prioritization, and optimization of continuous improvement activities by utilizing core process wheels, project tracking tools, and financial improvement models

  • Manages multiple stakeholders geographically dispersed to drive program objectives, ensure scope and approach are understood across stakeholder community.

  • ­Supports PMO providing implementation support for process and platforms, across multiple international markets, escalating risks and issues as appropriate.

  • Proactively provides technical / functional consultancy to partners across the business

  • Provides recommendations on resource optimization by suggesting alternative resource options, and escalates any resource capacity risks that may affect delivery priorities; using appropriate tools assists in the engagement of delivery teams.

  • Uses reporting tools to monitor the progress of the portfolio delivery and ensures timely and effective communication of the status and assessment of risks/issues.

  • ­Oversees quality assurance and ensures appropriate levels of end-to-end testing are undertaken

  • Recognize and solve problems quickly and escalate as appropriate

  • ­Drives best practices and overall delivery excellence

 

Requirements:

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills necessary.

  • Familiarity with project management software

  • Ability to troubleshoot, document and communicate issues; translate customer issues into specifications

  • Time management, ability to multitask, and propensity to handle urgent interrupts with poise and professionalism

  • ­Strong understanding of solution development life cycle and various methodologies like Agile, Extreme programming, and waterfall etc.

  • Experience in a customer facing role requiring a high level of individual responsibility, sound business judgment, strong financial management and be an effective communicator

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience

  • Some technical and service operations experience preferred

  • 2-5 years project management experience with complete understanding of the project lifecycle

  • Experience working in cross functional, multi cultural teams

  • Demonstrated leadership skills

  • Strong organizational, analytical and problem solving skills

  • Advanced knowledge of project management

  • Some travel may be necessary
