A Making Waves Account Supervisor is responsible for multiple lines of business for a client or for multiple clients.  The Account Supervisor serves as the lead day-to-day partner and trusted advisor to the client, liaison to the agency, and reports to the Client Director.  The role includes, but is not limited to the development of strategy, leadership, and building and growing the overall client relationship with the agency. 

 

Position Requirements

  • Minimum of 3 years as a Senior AE or minimum of 10 years’ relevant industry experience
  • Bachelor’s degree in marketing, advertising, communications or related field
  • Proven leadership skills
  • Expert in all aspects of marketing, with a strong emphasis on digital, social and mobile
  • Expert in technology implementation, processes, and strategy
  • Exceptional analytical abilities, both quantitative and qualitative
  • Superior oral, written and strategic abilities
  • Strong interpersonal skills that promote enthusiasm and motivate relationship building
  • Ability to monitor/evaluate client and industry environments for organic growth opportunities
  • Expert in financial planning and revenue forecasting

 

Strategic Thinking/Thought Leadership

  • Understand the client and their key business drivers to make a measurable impact on client success
  • Add value to the client relationship through industry insight and strategy development
  • Lead day-to-day client operations and ensure all deliverables are on strategy
  • See beyond immediate objectives and create a higher-level mission, where appropriate
  • Support organic growth efforts through thought leadership and industry insights
  • Actively integrate all facets of agency capabilities into business solutions, where appropriate
  • Think creatively, stimulate the thinking of others

 

Relationship Management

  • Establish a trusting relationship with the client
  • Build strong relationships which lead to business growth and/or new business opportunities
  • Lead by setting the right example; inspire and motivate the extended team

 

Business Management

  • Manage team billability/utilization to ensure profitable revenue to staffing ratios
  • Recommend smart, effective/efficient methods to meet Client’s business objectives

 

Execution

  • Ensure flawless execution and that all deliverables are met
  • Be the voice of accountability.
  • Be an advocate for doing work that is in the best interests of your client, which in some cases, isn't necessarily something the clients will automatically agree with.
  • Be the best at understanding all the pieces of the puzzle, and how they fit together.
