Associate Project Manager

The group offers a full range of investment solutions, an end-to-end wealth management platform, portfolio accounting services, and account aggregation solutions to support wealth managers and financial advisors, and the investors they serve.
The Role:
We seek an enthusiastic, results-driven candidate to serve as an Associate Project Manager to join our Project Management Office (PMO) in the Investment Management group. This person will support senior members of the PMO and will also will work with internal partners in product management, technology, design, marketing, portfolio management, operations, support, and sales to drive cross functional projects, including involvement in strategic product initiatives.
Ideally your experience has included planning, coordinating and implementing smaller projects or working in a business analyst or operational role. The ability to communicate clearly, form strong relationships with team members and third-party business partners, and identify and control risks and dependencies is critical in this role. This position is based in Chicago.
Responsibilities:
- Manage smaller projects (or individual workstreams in larger projects) from the discovery phase through to implementation while maintaining high quality, timely deliverables
- Build project plans leveraging requirements and team capacity
- Work with project team and stakeholders to identify dependencies, demonstrate an understanding of the critical path, and facilitate discussions to address dependencies on deliverables
- Develop project KPIs and communicate objectives and regular updates to stakeholders and project team members
- Effectively coordinate and collaborate with stakeholders and cross functional project teams, including product management, technology, investment operations, customer success, sales, and investment management
- Ability to make decisions and resolve issues and escalate where appropriate
- Identify, track, and manage project risks and issues to conclusion, defining appropriate risk mitigation and contingency plans
- A continuous focus on identifying areas for improvement
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree
- 1-2 years of project management, business analysis, or similar experience
- A commitment to operational excellence, business scalability, and innovation
- Strong analytical, planning, and organizational skills for managing competing demands and priorities
- Ability to understand complex business needs with a creative problem-solving mindset
- Ability to make decisions and foster an environment of healthy team debate and collaboration
- Knowledge of, and experience using, Agile and Lean project management methodologies is a plus
- Knowledge or background in investment management or wealth management is a plus
