About the Team:

Camelot Illinois is launching a brand refresh that will restore pride, trust and excitement in playing the Illinois Lottery. We will remind the people of Illinois that the Illinois Lottery is delivering fun games, creating winners and supporting good causes. The Brand team will lead the development of brand guidelines and the roll-out of the updated platform across all consumer facing touch points and internal assets.

Position Overview:

The Brand Project Manager will be brought on for 6-7 months as a contractor to assist with the launch of the Illinois Lottery brand refresh overseeing the update of internal and consumer facing assets. This role will play a critical part in achieving the first phase of the brand vision. This individual will work cross-functionally with Brand Management, Consumer Marketing, Digital, PR, Corporate Affairs teams, technical development teams and external agency partners to ensure executional success. Responsibilities will include management of project teams and agency partners providing clear direction to ensure timely completion of work streams against key objectives. This will be accomplished through the development and management of timelines to meet critical deadlines.

This individual will help guide the coordination of the brand refresh, ensuring exceptional collaboration and communication across functional teams for on-time delivery of work streams with maximum efficiency.

  • Lead tactical internal and agency project teams to ensure that feedback and approvals are provided in a timely manner.
  • Work closely with the marketing, retail and digital teams, as well as the in-house studio, creative agency and technical providers to secure deliverables, including but not limited to website, email, POS, experiential and campaign production estimates/schedules.
  • Effectively communicate and manage expectations of internal and external stakeholders throughout the project lifecycle; oversee communication as it applies to the project
  • Deliver regular status reports to management and teams
  • Ensure stakeholders understand the critical issues, risks and decisions that they and senior leaders need to make to progress timelines and project completion.
  • Identify challenges and surface them to relevant parties to ensure they are addressed and solved for Assist with budget management.
  • Review brand guideline details across assets as part of the proofing and approval processes.
  • Demonstrates professional maturity and a genuine desire and passion for the Lottery business

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree with an emphasis on Business, Marketing, Communications, Journalism or a related field
  • 3 year minimum experience in the marketing industry (client-side and/or media/creative agency environment preferred)
  • Exposure to creative development with a base understanding of the process from creative brief to finished advertising
  • Adept at managing timelines and ensuring compliance by all key stakeholders
  • Ability to multitask, prioritize and perform in a fast-paced environment
  • Ability to grasp concepts quickly and work out complex situations
  • Ability to lead and operate in ambiguity
  • Strong verbal & written communication skills, proofreading and editing skills
  • Fosters open, honest and direct communication while maintaining sensitivity to confidential information
  • Demonstrates professional maturity and a genuine desire and passion for the Lottery business
