The Product Support & Logistics Division currently has an opening for a Category Buyer II in our Peoria, IL facility. As a Buyer, you will provide purchasing solutions expertise, using Quality, Cost, Logistics, Development, Management to deliver maximum value.
Job Duties/Responsibilities may include, but are not limited to:
Responsible and accountable for development, and/or communication and implementation of sourcing strategies.
Responsible and accountable for managing supplier relationship and performance for regional supply base, including supplier QCLDM performance, negotiation and implementation of appropriate master purchase agreements, management of supplier risk, and assurance of supply.
Lead and support fact-based negotiations with suppliers.
Provide leadership and support for sourcing decisions.
Support new product introduction activities with the Undercarriage product group.
Conduct quantitative analysis to determine Total Cost of Ownership.
Effectively communicate with Global team to ensure alignment to Global Strategies.
Promote the highest level of professionalism and business ethics.
Qualifications
Basic Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree from a college or university, or equivalent experience
Experience in Procurement in an Analyst or Buyer role
Experience leading teams, suppliers and/or customers to effective solutions
Top Candidates Will Also Have:
Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Engineering, or Business Management preferred.
Experience with Steel Products components (Undercarriage, GET, Metal Face Seals)
Experience with Fact-Based negotiations
Project Management and/or leadership experience with demonstrated results of analysis and problem-solving.
Effective communicator in written and oral form with ability to communicate with supplier senior leadership and internal stakeholders
Ability to set priorities and make decisions
Well-developed interpersonal skills are required in dealing with sensitive issues, developing others, and reaching consensus on specific actions
Professional certification in Purchasing and/or Inventory Management
