The Role:

The Chief of Staff is the right-hand person and force-multiplier to the Chief Executive Officer. The leverage you provide to the CEO will be a driving force behind Paro’s aggressive and expansive growth. This role will also support the rest of the Executive Team. You will get a front-row seat to a high-growth company and be a thought partner to the c-suite on major company decisions. You will work on some really interesting problems, get a crash course on all aspects of running a business, and learn first-hand how to be a great senior executive.

Key Areas Of Focus Include:

  • Operations: help create and manage the rhythm of the business across a range of departments
  • Project management: Be the go-to person that ensures continuity and successful completion of goals across the teams.
  • Communications: develop written and verbal communications for internal and external stakeholders
  • Oversee strategic business initiatives from development through successful execution under the guidance of senior leadership and departmental heads
  • Improve current processes and coordinate organizational procedures for optimized efficiency and productivity



Core Responsibilities & How You’ll Add Value:

You will own strategic projects as an extension of the CEO’s office, enable our Executive Team to make more efficient decisions and manage their teams, and coordinate projects to completion (while not always owning them). This means you will zig one day and zag another. The leverage you provide can come in the form of ad-hoc support or longer-term special projects. A few examples include lead a metrics overhaul, do customer research on an adjacent business opportunity, help on search for an executive hire.

  • Build and develop relationships with all employees for increased efficiency and effective responsiveness into existing operations, and help to define new operational strategies, working with CEO and executives on special projects
  • Serve as liaison between staff, executives, senior leaders, and CEO, regarding company climate, employee well-being, project updates, proposals, and planning
  • Support internal and external communications: this role will spend time on communications, managing staff meetings and priorities, building decision-making frameworks, especially as our accelerating growth demands that we spend more time and attention on driving alignment



The ideal candidate for the Chief of Staff / PM role will have:

  • 3+ years of operations management experience with Strong quantitative abilities and general business analysis skills
  • Proven experience organizing and directing multiple teams and departments
  • Excellent communicator in written and verbal form: Ability to work autonomously, while gracefully navigating executive-level interpersonal dynamics
  • Experience planning and leading strategic initiatives with Ability to work autonomously, while gracefully navigating executive-level interpersonal dynamics
  • A gifted growth mindset, infinite learning abilities, and strong resourcefulness and scrappiness
  • Consulting experience with a focus on operations management
  • Nimble business mind with a focus on developing creative solutions
  • Strong project reporting skills, with a focus on interdepartmental communication
  • Great interpersonal skills: you’ll work with a lot of different people. It’s important you can build trusted relationships with people efficiently
