The Technical Program Management (TPM) function oversees technical releases and manages complex cross-functional programs. The Director of Technical Program Management will serve as a key thought partner to engineering and product leaders to deliver programs and projects that enable us to ship products with the highest level of stability, reliability, and performance. This role reports to the Chief of Staff.

Responsibilities:

  • Build and lead a high-performing team, coaching and mentoring Technical Program Managers to set them up for long-term success
  • Collaborate closely with leadership in the ongoing definition of the functional ladder and performance evaluation process and criteria within the TPM organization
  • Engage effectively with cross-functional teams across the board to deliver on high business impact programs either working with other TPMs or driving them on their own to solve for scale
  • Own systems for project documentation, status tracking, and communication between project stakeholders to ensure delivery and overall program health
  • Identify opportunities to improve execution of the organization as a whole, to increase engineering productivity through tools and process improvements
  • Manage ambiguity with confidence and quickly adapt to changing business conditions


Minimum Requirements:

  • Track record of developing, growing, and managing technical program management experience in a technical field; knowledgeable about agile methodologies and the software development lifecycle.
  • Strong communication skills and experience working cross functionally with engineering, product management, and other functions involved in product lifecycle.
  • Advanced problem-solving, conflict resolution, active listening, and time management skills
  • Proactive, highly organized, self-starter capable of effectively managing multiple projects in parallel with an ability to get the job done
  • The ability to prioritize and multitask as well as excitement to roll up your sleeves and contribute to all parts of the Cribl’s operations.  We are a lean team and wear many hats!
