In this position you will be responsible for planning, designing, and tracking the key performance of assigned kitchen equipment to ensure that it meets the changing needs of McDonald’s with respect to performance, quality, capacity, system fit and life cycle costs. You will work within a systematic development process that is integrated with key internal and external customers. You will strive to apply advanced technical and system knowledge to develop thoughtful recommendations and to guide and influence others in multi-product programs.
Responsibilities
You will drive innovation projects by closely working with multi-functional teams. You will enable forward-thinking growth and improvements to restaurant profitability through the following:
- Growing capacity, simplifying operations, and improving the food experience
- Reducing cost of ownership; anticipating and identifying customer needs
- Understanding the key business fundamentals and operations of the restaurants
- Translating customer needs to design specifications
- Ensuring accurate completion within budget and the development process
- Testing and releasing equipment that meets customer expectations
- Anticipating the impact of equipment programs within the system and developing programs to minimize field issues
- Conveying McDonald’s expectations for quality, manufacturing, and overall equipment performance to suppliers
- Crafting and leading planned actions, key achievements, and travel and project budgets
- Demonstrating the ability to lead and effectively work within multi-functional teams, both internally and externally
- Balancing project workloads to improve progress against key work
- Staying abreast of industry trends and methodologies in area of expertise
- Communicating, modeling and upholding corporate policy and laws within team members and suppliers
Minimum Requirements

Basic Qualifications:
- BA/BS degree in Engineering, Science, or Business OR 8+ years of engineering experience in lieu of degree
- 5+ years of experience in engineering, equipment design/development and project management
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience managing multiple projects simultaneously
- Excellent communications skills, both written and verbal
- Experience communicating to all levels of an organization, from restaurant crew to the company President
- Excel in a dynamic team based environment
- Effective project management skills within a multitasking environment
