This position will reside within Global Strategic Sourcing Services (GSSS) in the Global Equipment Supply Chain Team. The GSSS-Equipment Supply Chain Supervisor will be responsible for supporting the equipment supply chain manager in the end-to-end category management of core equipment for the globe, as well as partnering with internal stakeholders in negotiating pricing and contracts, calculating and reporting savings, executing supplier management, procurement standard methodologies and issue resolution. You will have an ongoing focus on improving the quality of products, services and performance of the equipment suppliers. The GSSS-Equipment Supply Chain Supervisor will report to a GSSS Manager, and will work closely with global partners in Restaurant Solutions Group (RSG)-Engineering, Global Menu Management, RSG-Operations, Global Strategic Sourcing Food (GSSF), Global Supply Chain and Sustainability-Safety and Compliance and globally approved Suppliers.

What you will be doing...
You will support the GSSS-Equipment Supply Chain Manager with their assigned equipment categories and suppliers through the following:
You will figure out equipment and support needs for various cross-functional projects that support the global or local markets.
Completing necessary tasks to gather key supplier data (i.e. volumes, costs, product and service performance statistics, financial information, etc.)
Identifying supplier risks and formulating suggested mitigation strategies
You will review and approve vendor performance standards and measurements
Providing input into annual category management strategies
Facilitating issues on behalf of vendors and stakeholders
Execution support of category strategy
Independently lead assigned categories and supplier relationships
Negotiation of pricing, service agreements, preventative maintenance programs, warranty, etc. with suppliers
Ensure stock availability and inventory planning for new product releases and/or special programs
Understanding of manufacturing and logistics processes
Management of McDonald’s and Supplier risk and liability, cost mitigation.
Communication of new product releases as per above negotiations with alignment from Engineering, Operations, etc.
Communicate, evaluate, measure and implement Supplier Expectations with Supplier base
Serve as an advocate for the Owner / Operator, Company and Supplier by leading successful resolution of field issues and minimizing recurrence through process improvement.
Execution of category strategy
Executing all necessary communications to ensure accurate and timely flow of information to internal customers, partners, and suppliers

Bachelors’ Degree in Supply Chain Management, Engineering, Manufacturing, Finance or equivalent field experience is required.
4+ years’ experience in supply chain or commensurate experience in related functions
Project Management Certification preferred (PMP)
Advanced education is preferred (e.g. MBA)
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
Proven experience in effective communication via written and oral methods.
Strong project management skills and experience.
You possess a working knowledge of procurement standard methodologies, including supplier negotiations, selection, evaluation, management, and development; You should be able to demonstrate “hands-on” experience
Think critically in order to structure analyses and processes to solve poorly defined problems
Negotiate to “grow the pie” and provide mutually beneficial contracts and business relationships
Build positive working relationships both internally and externally to provide McDonald’s with goods and services at the lowest Total Cost of Ownership and lowest risk
Able to problem solve and search for answers using internal and external network/sources
Organized and able to effectively own a number of responsibilities/projects at once
