Department OverviewThis position exists within the Motorola Solutions' North America Customer Experiences and Events team. The Events team is responsible for planning, developing and implementing internal and external events and experiences to support account teams and other internal teams to achieve their strategic and sales objectives. This position is based at the Motorola Solutions office at 500 West Monroe Street, Chicago, Illinois
Job Description
Work with the events and wider marketing teams to develop and deliver events and experiences to support sales and strategic objectives
Responsible for project managing events and programs of all types and varying sizes, including presence at Exhibitions and Trade Shows, Hosted Conferences (e.g. sales events, partner conferences and roadshows), Networking and Hospitality events to support MSI’s goals and objectives.
Responsibilities would include:
Development of project scope and milestone-driven plan
Construction of project teams and responsibilities matrix
Management of Events to time and within budget
Budget construction and management
Project management as well as the ability to work collaboratively across the business are key skills for this role. The successful candidate will be able to work, interact and present at all levels of the organization. Events experience of 3- 5 years ideally gained in a technology industry is a minimum requirement. Successful candidate will be a strong team player and self starter.
Candidates should have the ability to:
Build strong working relationships with internal customers
Effectively manage external resources (e.g. agencies)
Analyze and evaluate the effectiveness of specific events and programs and report KPIs and performance metrics as required to internal customers.
Specific Knowledge/Skills
3-5 years events management experience gained preferably in a technology organization
Marketing or business qualification (professional or degree level) or experience; degree in related field or discipline
Proven track record of managing events, either in-house or agency side
Proven track record of agency management
Experience with Live and virtual events
Basic Requirements
Bachelors degree or 3+ years of work experience in events management
