The Client Valuation & Reporting (CVR) practice provides timely and accurate valuation and financial reporting data to Northern's clients across the globe, on a daily and periodic basis. The practice conducts independent accounting review and analysis on all aspects of a client's investment portfolio and ensures adherence to accounting standards and requirements stemming from local regulatory and industry best practices.

On behalf of CVR and the business, the Head of Change Management & Consulting position's focus will be two fold; client high end consulting offering complex accounting change solutions, and digital transformation. This position will also have active participation in leading business and client driven change management programs for large-scale transformations impacting wider business processes, systems, technology and product capabilities, operating model changes and operational readiness. This role will work closely with key internal stakeholders to proactively evolutionize accounting capability.

Initiatives in scope cover a broad range of change agenda items key among which is product capability enhancements, operational efficiency and client satisfaction. The role will also heavily focus on the people side of change ensuring organizational readiness, acceptance, and adoption of large change initiatives. This role will also have oversight for the existing CVR project, business analysis, consulting and program management office and resources, as well as the responsibility to further build and develop these competencies. The individual will be a member of the CVR Management team and as such actively participate in setting the strategic direction and influencing other key initiatives occurring across CVR, Business Services and the wider organization.

Major duties:

• Excellent communication skills with the ability to lead conversations and create stakeholder engagement with clients and colleagues across an organizational hierarchy and strong demonstrated ability to develop work plans, articulate complex issues, analyze data and structure information• Demonstrated ability to work well under pressure; able to manage and execute effectively on multiple, time-sensitive projects, with keen sense of urgency• Seasoned multi-disciplinary expert with extensive technical and / or business knowledge and functional expertise. Focus of role is on execution of strategic direction of business function change activities.• Carries out complex initiatives involving multiple disciplines and/or ambiguous issues. Plans for and manages aspects of project quality.• Displays a balanced, cross-functional perspective, liaising with the business to improve efficiency, effectiveness and productivity. • Monitor and understand interdependencies across the program and determine where a risk or lack of control might need to be addressed and determine the right course or action, escalation, or mitigation plan• Participates in developing the CVR practice's strategic plan and sets goals and priorities based on the direction set for the unit; follows through to execution to ensure that objectives are met. Provides leadership and guidance to staff, fostering an environment that encourages employee participation, teamwork, and communication.

Qualifications:

• College or University degree and/or relevant proven work experience is preferred.• Excellent oral and written communication skills are required• Significant functional / industry knowledge is required in the areas of accounting, asset servicing or securities services• +5-7yrs demonstrated experience:

o Working with engagement, brainstorming, and quality assurance strategies.

o Exceptional leadership and organizational skills are required to determine the Business Unit's goals, resources needed, and to assess and develop the skills of staff

o Experience in designing and leading initiatives business transformation projects based project management methodologies and leading practices in Organizational Development, Evaluation and Change Management

o Proven track-record of delivering results - meaningful experience in roles driving or delivering chang
