What You’ll Do:
As the Head of Technology Delivery you will be responsible for leading the CarrierDirect Engineering organization. You will serve as the primary internal engineering stakeholder on matters related to project scope, planning, execution and delivery. Acting as a member of the Leadership Team you will support the growth and development of the engineering team and serve as the primary point of contact for communication up, down and across the organization.
Responsibilities:
Gather information from multiple sources and utilize new and existing resources to create action plans focused on deliverables and execution
Resource planning and allocation for current and future technology projects, including staffing plans and value added bench work
Identify opportunities to standardize and improve project management and delivery to increase customer satisfaction, meet deadlines, and manage expectations of internal EO
Define and manage Engineering budget
Establish job descriptions and career paths with clear expectations and timelines for all positions in Engineering organization
Hiring, firing, performance, development and discipline of EO
Coordinate with VP of Technology Strategy to bring in PM's and EM's draft SOWs to client contracts by helping to scope work, set timelines, and allocate resources to projects
Serve as the primary Engineering stakeholder during LT meetings and effectively communicate information up, down, and across the organization
Manage and improve Engineering culture, including: what kind of people we want to hire, managing workload, what the group is doing for fun, etc.
Operate and make decisions that effectively balance the needs of the internal engineer organization with client demands and expectations
Implement and maintain documentation and knowledge sharing process to increase visibility of engineering projects amongst cross-functional internal and external teams
Required:
Proven track record of success planning, scoping, staffing, scheduling, executing and leading a variety of technology consulting projects
Understanding of technical principles and software development life cycle to aid in supporting project team deliverables
Ability to lead high performing teams, manage performance, develop employees and set expectations for mid-level managers and individual contributors
Preferred:
Experience working for a start-up and/or experience successfully scaling teams and organizations for growth
