You sit at the intersection of Digital and Business, where the fate of the modern enterprise is determined. With many potential paths forward, you dissect business ecosystems and goals to understand which paths are viable for our clients. We’re looking for people with a depth of experience in end-to-end product life cycles, business model design, market analysis, financial modeling, and digital roadmap implementation.

When it comes to Digital Business, you don’t stop at giving advice. Established enterprises frequently have trouble adopting a digital mindset - you demonstrate value by crafting a clear “why”. Your colleagues in Experience Strategy lead the way toward value creation with customer centric filters, you marry the perspective with revenue, monetization strategies, and a clear story of how this initiative will drive impact. You understand CX and use this to drive the creation of a compellingly quantitative POV that merges seamlessly.

The Business Consulting Domain Lead is a highly experienced leader who excels at inspiring fast-moving, cross-disciplinary teams. You are a balanced voice of direction and autonomy who can orchestrate the right talent where effective and appropriate. Yet even as you provide  direction to others, you like to roll up your sleeves and get things done. You don’t create artifacts for the sake of producing them; instead, you focus on efforts that move the conversation forward.

Above all, you are comfortable living at the leading edge of emerging tech trends; you are undeterred by ambiguity and hungry to create certainty and value for your clients.

Nerdery’s Strategy Practice dwells upon the constantly shifting terrain of business value creation, experience centricity, and emerging technology. Our clients face new challenges on a daily basis and they are constantly looking to generate new value through technology. Working in partnership with Experience Strategists and Delivery Leads, our Business Consultants provide the financial, market, and tech ecosystem analysis to support the client and Nerdery teams in forging and navigating a digital roadmap.

Once here, you will:

  • Collaborate with clients to understand their business challenges and opportunities and to help identify and prioritize their near and long term goals.
  • Design organizational structures and strategic assets to help companies support new products and drive innovation.
  • Partner with various designers to create new and evolve existing digital services or products in ways that foster strategic business growth.
  • Use workshops and research techniques to explore the enterprise goals behind design concepts and to shape and influence their design.
  • Design business models that enhance and extend consumer experiences.
  • Translate business data and concepts into actionable insights for the Nerdery team (and community).

Relevant experience and mindset:

  • Constant interest in all things digital.
  • Large, national/international consulting firm experience.
  • Outstanding verbal and written communication skills.
  • Excellent business case development and storytelling ability.
  • Business ROI acumen around digital transformation.
  • Careful, persuasive, and attentive senior client relationship management.
  • A masters in business is a plus, with a minimum of 10 years of industry experience.
  • Successful candidates will combine rigorous business acumen across many of the following areas, along with world-class depth in one or two: Marketing (Product or Brand), Human Resources, Management, and Accounting/Finance, Organizational Process, Operations, and Technology.
  • Operational experience in or a deep understanding of taking offerings to market and scaling, whether as an entrepreneur or intrapreneur.
  • Demonstrated fluency with the human-centered design process and an ability to work in multidisciplinary design teams.
  • Experience in a client-service or consultative role which might include management consulting, creative services, design, finance or operations.
