Department OverviewThe Software Enterprise Deployment and Integration team is the team that delivers solutions to the public safety sector. We are committed to providing technology and tools which will allow customers to focus on their mission, and enable them to respond faster with smarter and safer decisions. We deploy and support products such as Computer Aided Dispatch, Records Management Systems, Jail Management Systems and Mobile Data Computing, among other offerings.
Candidates based in New York or a surrounding state are highly preferred.
Seeking an outstanding Senior Project manager with extensive experience to manage a world-class NG9-1-1 deployment of Vesta product suite.
Lead cross-functional teams, focused on delivering ultra-high availability NENA i3 compliant call-handling system
Manage this critical project through design, staging, verification and transition to maintenance and support
Partner with a high functioning team and customer partners to deliver a best in class emergency call handling system

This role holds responsibility for both financial performance and functional success and delivery
Maintain cross-project dashboards and reports and lead internal cross-team project review meetings
Establish trusted partnerships with key internal and external stakeholders
Leads large projects / portions of very complex projects. Directs and coordinates the work activities of project team.
Demonstrates a firm understanding of all nine areas of PMBOK project management and has expertise in two areas. Experienced in running project phases. Is able to oversee development of the complete project plan. Is able to establish, track, and audit project budgets, analyze variances and develop action plans as required.
The project manager will be accountable for accomplishing the stated project objectives within the stipulated time period and budget. Ensures that the three constraints (quality, cost and time) that face every project are properly managed.
Involved in the recruitment and management of project staff including project reporting, administration and communication.
7+ years of project/program management or engineering experience or a Bachelor’s Degree and 4+ years of project management experience
Experience with at least one of the following: Public Safety communications systems, Cellular infrastructure, Military communications, Civil construction or IT Networks
Proficient in Microsoft Office (WORD, Excel, PowerPoint & Project)
PM Masters Certificate a plus. PMP highly desired. PMP and/or Certified Associate in Project Management (CAPM).
Understanding of local public safety customers, such as police, fire, and emergency medical services is a plus.
Must be a self motivated team player able to work effectively with general guidance toward objectives.
Must have excellent interpersonal, presentation, and negotiation skills
A seasoned professional having wide-ranging experience - uses professional concepts and company objectives to resolve complex issues in creative and effective ways
Experience in developing and/or using project management best practices, and techniques
Excellent written and verbal communication skills - must be comfortable with public speaking and developing relationships across all levels of the enterprise
Budgeting and auditing experience strongly desired
Effective leadership and delegation abilities
Outstanding time management skills – should be able to multitask and handle multiple projects simultaneously
Experience with managing a team and dealing with personnel issues a plus
Effective leadership and delegation abilities
Enterprise IT or large scale infrastructure deployment experience; large scale systems integration management
Experience with requirements traceability and verification of requirements based testing
ITIL based process experience
Project management of design-build-maintain telecommunications networks
Hands-on experience with waterfall and agile methodologies.
Nice to have:
Experience with standards and regulations, including but not limited to NIST 800-53, NENA i3
Experience delivering private-cloud solutions
Strong understanding of core security technologies and how they relate to or depend on each other, including: Firewalls, routers, and switches. IDS/IPS. Anti-virus/anti-malware. DLP. DDoS technologies. Logging and monitoring technologies
