Description

At VillageMD, we are committed to helping patients achieve greater health by delivering the most effective, accessible and efficient healthcare in the world through partnership with primary care physicians. We're in a unique position to impact everyone in primary care from independent, family-owned practices to premier health systems.  Our Product Development team takes a hands-on, collaborative approach to support VMD physician partners by ensuring product work and methodologies reflect and serve defined and evolving partner needs. As the Ops Program Manager, you will serve as a key member of a cross-functional team committed to keeping healthcare local to its individual market while enabling enhanced clinical capabilities and integrated solutions that scale.

In this role, you’ll develop trusted relationships with our market operating and clinical teams in direct support of their needs.  In collaboration with technology and analytics teams you’ll serve as a key leader for ensuring proprietary content and proven operational know-how is deployed, adopted, and leads to better patient and physician outcomes.  Opportunities to develop leadership and operational skills while gaining experience through deep relationships across the business are endless.  This is a role for a problem-solver, collaborator, and operator with a love for healthcare and passion for changing it.

  • Support alignment of VMD’s best practice operating protocols with technical solutions
  • Establish a rhythm and transparency to managing market-provided use cases, including processes for prioritization and market communication

What will make you successful here?

  • Effectively manage complex programs that get results regardless of technology, person or prior process
  • Unbelievable collaboration skills with the ability to gain trust and demonstrate value in an iterative and rapid form
  • Loves to soak in the details with an uncanny ability to solve customer problems in a highly portable fashion
  • Thrives in fast-paced environments and creates a vision and purpose amongst ambiguity
  • Has a bias for action and an aptitude for constructing analysis to solve business problems

What you might do in your first year:

  • Collaborate with technology, analytics, and market teams to enable best practice care management processes in VMD’s proprietary care management solution
  • Establish vertical and horizontal communication cadences for driving the best clinical and patient experience leveraging VMD’s proprietary care management solution
  • Support the buildout and maintenance of a central knowledge sharing solution, including processes for organizing and maintaining product assets
  • Develop lightweight but extensible use case prioritization methodology, including processes for determining short and long-term return on investment
  • Contribute and drive communication of product development roadmap to market operating teams
  • Engage market end users to identify barriers to performance and translate identified obstacles into proposed solutions

The following experience is meaningful to us:

  • Strong technical and analytics skills, including experience working alongside technical development teams
  • An analytical mindset and strong problem-solving capabilities evidenced by an ability to evolve product strategy based on research, data, and industry trends
  • Prior experience working within the health care delivery system, preferably primary care
  • Experience supporting end-user products, specifically technical tools related to workflow and business intelligence capabilities
  • 3 – 5+ years of full-time experience; startup environment and healthcare experience useful, but not required
  • Bachelor’s degree required
  • Comfort with travel to our markets as needed, up to 30%

At VillageMD, we see diversity and inclusion as a source of strength in transforming healthcare. We believe building trust and innovation are best achieved through diverse perspectives. To us, acceptance and respect are rooted in an understanding that people do not experience things in the same way, including our healthcare system.
