The Project Manager is responsible for delivering results for the Engineering department by organizing cross-team efforts, facilitating collaboration, creating transparency and managing risk for our most critical projects. You will rely heavily on your compulsion to order, intuitive risk radar, and empathetic communication skills to drive delivery of department wide initiatives. You know how to amplify your influence without relying on hierarchy to get things done. You will work closely with engineering leads and other Project Managers to identify and eliminate external impediments to delivery. You will work closely with the Director of Program Management continuously find better ways of getting things done.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct project planning of department wide initiatives, including identifying outcomes, staffing needs, and dependencies.
- Collaborate with Engineering Leads and Project Managers to define priority, urgency, scheduling between projects.
- Drive projects to completion through influence (and without the authority of hierarchy)
- Create radical transparency of project progress through simple, clear and audience-appropriate communication.
- Proactively problem solve and remove obstacles – identify and manage risks and dependencies before they are realized.
- Automate repetitive tasks for Project Management.
Qualifications:

- 3+ years project management experience.
- 1+ years’ experience in high change environments - start-up, digital transformation or similar.
Preferred Qualifications:
- PMP Certification (or equivalent)
- Experience in FIN-TECH or Compliance environments
- Experience leading geographically (globally) diverse teams through influence and best practices.
- Proven expertise in using remote collaboration tools for communication (synchronous and asynchronous), brainstorming and tracking status.
- Excellent communication skills with ability to relate with both technical and business professionals
- Usage and experience with Azure DevOps, VSTS, Jira, Aha!, Smart Sheet or similar tool to plan and maintain project plans.
- Flexibility and willingness to adapt to needs of the teams and environment.
- Familiarity with agile ways of working.
- Comfort working with limited direction. You are a self-starter who is direct in asking for assistance when needed, but doesn’t need a prescribed way of doing things to succeed.
- Experience in leading teams remotely, as our teams are globally distributed.
- Compulsion towards organizing in rapidly evolving environments
