  • Job Description Summary

    The Organization Development Specialist reports to the Senior Director of Organization Development and is a key member of CCC’s 2-person OD department.

    The OD Specialist executes and continually improves CCC’s management development programs, employee communications mechanisms and employee engagement measurement tools. The OD Specialist also serves as the Workday Talent workstream administrator for CCC’s Workday-enabled talent processes, including performance management. As needed, the OD Specialist will assist with other OD projects to support HR and business priorities.

    This is a highly collaborative role that involves close partnership with fellow HR team members, internal Workday team and other key stakeholders across CCC business groups and levels.

     

    Job Duties

    Management Development:

    • Own the execution of CCC’s management development programs for People Leaders:
      • Partner with HR Managers to identify program participants
      • Foster relationships with external training partners and internal facilitators
      • Manage participant communications and coordinating training materials and logistics
      • Observe training sessions to ensure programs meet CCC’s needs and standards, evaluating program results, and identifying program improvements. 
      • May have periodic responsibility for delivering some aspects of training content
    • Under the direction of the Senior Director OD, design a new program for providing People Leaders with virtual and on-demand resources for ongoing management skills ‘refresher’ development.  Own the execution of this program. 
    • Assist Senior Director OD with leadership development needs analysis, as needed.    

     

    Employee Communications:

    • Own the execution and continuous improvement of CCC’s employee communication vehicles (e.g., internal newsletter, intranet, bi-annual employee meetings). 
    • Partner with HR colleagues to plan, develop and distribute employee communications related to HR processes (e.g., benefits communications, HR process communications).

     

    Employee Engagement Measurement:

    • Own the execution of engagement pulse surveys, including creating survey questionnaires, developing employee communications to drive survey participation, analyzing results, creating survey reports, partnering with HR business partners to disseminate results to the business.
    • Partner with outside survey provider to manage the execution of the 2019 all-company employee engagement survey, generate survey reports and analysis, assist HR business partners in working with managers to understand survey results. 

     

    Workday Talent Workstream Administrator:

    • In partnership with the CCC Workday team, serve as the primary subject matter expert and system administrator for CCC’s Workday-enabled talent processes, including performance management, career profile, and other talent functionality as the system evolves. 
    • Execute CCC’s Workday performance management process, including testing and refining functionality prior to key process milestones; executing launch of goal-setting, mid-year discussions and year-end reviews; developing employee communications; responding to and quickly resolving manager, employee and HR questions or issues; and, monitoring user adoption and system effectiveness in each step of the process.

     

    Other OD Projects:

    • Assist Senior Director OD in executing change management plans to support business initiatives.
    • Under the direction of the Senior Director OD, assist with special projects as needed (e.g., team effectiveness sessions, employment branding initiatives, functional competency model development) 

     

    Qualifications

    • Bachelor’s Degree required
    • 3-5 years of related experience in: training and development, employee communications, employee engagement, talent systems (prior Workday experience a plus)
    • Excellent writing skills
    • Excellent project management and execution skills, with strong ability to multi-task
    • Strong skills in data collection methods and analysis of quantitative and qualitative data
    • Advanced skills in PowerPoint, Excel and SharePoint
    • Strong verbal communication skills and presence, with ability to comfortably present in a group setting and credibly interface with leaders and employees at all levels
    • Strong interpersonal and relationship building skills
    • Strong orientation toward working collaboratively, with equal comfort working independently
    • Prior experience managing external partners and vendors
