In this role, you will utilize your business acumen and enterprise technology solution expertise to design & implement best-in-class Product Experience Management (PXM) solutions for our customers centered around the Salsify platform.

As a Principal Consultant in our growing Salsify practice, you will utilize your deep eCommerce, CPG, and Retail industry experience to architect innovative customer solutions based out of our Chicago office. You will have the opportunity to engage with some of the top brands in the world to help guide them on the services and solutions that allow them to achieve their goals and objectives. You will work directly with our customers in both a pre- and post-sale capacity. During pre-sales, you will use your deep Salsify expertise to gather requirements, develop use cases, propose solutions and provide cost estimates and draft Statement of Works (SOWs). Post-sales you will lead our functional delivery team gathering requirements, designing/architecting the solution, overseeing the solution build, testing, and successful roll-out.

Responsibilities

• You will help our clients by analyzing their business processes, needs and strategies to document and validate required functionality and rationalize functionality with appropriate technology solutions
• You will work closely with clients to identify how Salsify can help them solve business problems while managing expectations within Salsify capabilities and offerings
• You will work with sales to lead client-facing scoping sessions
• You will lead the client and our delivery team to gather requirements, design, build, test, and deploy innovative solutions
• You will develop clear and concise SOWs to ensure customers expectations are set and our internal delivery teams can manage to a well documented scope
• You will Proactively communicate and collaborate with external and internal customers to analyze information needs and functional requirements
• You will establish a holistic vision and solution architecture across the enterprise to address customer business needs

Best Fit Experience

• 5+ years demonstrated experience in the definition and execution of enterprise software projects
• Expertise in eCommerce, CPG, and/or Retail industries' best practices
• Enjoy sharing knowledge of eCommerce platforms such as Shopify, Magento, Salesforce Commerce Cloud and BigCommerce
• Experience in Business Process Analysis and requirements gathering
• Can manage large stakeholder groups
• Strong verbal, written, organizational, analytical, presentation and interpersonal skills
• Ability to demonstrate driving project solutions
• Thrive in cross-functional environments
• Proven experience integrating data source systems such as PIMs, ERPs, or CRMs with eCommerce platforms
• Passion for making customers successful and excitement to work in a customer-centric environment
• Experience problem solving and can take different approaches to all sorts of challenges, whether they be technical, organizational, internal, customer, or personal
• Curiosity and openness to learning with the ability to quickly grasp and make effective use of knowledge
• The ability to thoughtfully communicate new concepts to diverse audiences and adapt to changing circumstances
• Confidence driving solutions to challenging customer or internal situations autonomously and understand when to raise risk and inform relevant stakeholders
• Enjoy travel, which would vary, but can be up to 25%
