What You'll Do

This role provides technical expertise and leadership on the team to drive the Platform Automation (PAT) project and process for the Renaissance Program which is building an industry-leading clearing system, risk management system, and a new data and analytical platform in the cloud.

This role provides subject matter expertise to drive project initiation, planning, execution, and closure activities for the PAT project while supporting the effort and providing on-going monitoring, reporting, and adjustments of project progress.

Responsibilities include partnering with the PAT leadership team and a third party vendor who is assisting in documenting the scope, strategy, and priorities for the PAT team. Responsibilities also include creating and managing the timeline for work being performed, managing the work through the team epics and stories, and working with other teams who are dependent upon the environments the PAT team is developing

Primary Duties and Responsibilities:

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each primary duty satisfactorily.

  • Uses both traditional and Agile project/product approaches to execute projects and achieve business outcomes

  • Leverages technical expertise to drive day-to-day aspects of a project to deliver high-quality, on time, on budget outcomes within the project scope

  • Follows OCC standard project management guidelines, including OCC project management checklists and templates

  • Provides subject matter expertise on project initiation and planning activities to structure the project, including facilitating the definition of project objectives and scope

  • Provides technical guidance to one or more project teams in detailed planning activities, oversees project execution activities, and contributes to completion of project closure activities

  • Responsible for the identification and planning of all project work streams, including working with each functional manager to plan resources, identify key milestones, and manage dependencies

  • Provides technical expertise in the identification, execution, and updating of project timelines and deliverables

  • Works with project team to identify project risks, track and resolve issues, and eliminate project challenges

  • Supports monitoring and reporting on the progress of project milestones and deliverables

  • Communicates clear, concise, and accurate project status to all appropriate project stakeholders, including providing weekly status reports

  • Coordinates and responds to project changes, including escalating project issues and decisions as needed

  • Performs other duties as assigned

  • Oversight of the project team and management of deliverables

Technical Skills:

  • [Required] Expert experience with project management tools such as Microsoft Project and SharePoint (or similar PPM tool)

  • [Required] Proficiency in using Microsoft Office products (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio)

  • [Required] Expert experience with Agile tools such as Jira and Confluence

  • [Preferred] Expert knowledge of application development and testing processes

  • “[Preferred] Experience leading infrastructure projects and working knowledge of cloud platforms” 

Education and/or Experience:

  • Required] Bachelor’s degree in business or technical discipline required

  • [Preferred] Masters degree

  • [Required] 10+ years of experience in project management or project leadership role

Certificates or Licenses:

  • [Preferred] Project Management Professional (PMP) certification

  • [Preferred] Agile certifications (Certified Scrum Master, Certified Product Owner)
