The Procurement Specialist will support the Director with initial identification of needs through to delivery for the IT category. You will execute procurement business plans, partner with, and support, the needs of functional business owners by providing inputs to the creation of policies and processes to drive procurement, while maintaining our culture and supporting our growth.

 

What will you be doing?

  • Be involved in the whole procurement process from sourcing to off-boarding, including market assessments, consolidating spend across the organization, issuing RFPs (request for proposal), evaluating and comparing proposals, negotiating contracts (pricing and terms), and supplier management
  • Work across the organization to understand how technology is utilized, help identify gaps and determining solutions
  • Support the Procurement Director in strategically guiding the organization towards alternative cost saving opportunities and potential partners
  • Identify data sources, consolidate data, create project specific and monthly reports 
  • Use data to create and update procurement dashboards and scorecards
  • Use current spend information/data and business knowledge to help identify potential partners and develop an overall cost reduction plan
  • Assist in driving practices to reduce procurement cycle time and increase real-time spend visibility
  • Collaborate with other departments to prioritize procurement needs, solicit inputs, and align goals
  • Analyze performance metrics against budget to demonstrate continuous improvement and progress against strategic objectives
  • Acts as the internal point of contact for outside suppliers 
  • Support supplier negotiations and management activities such as QBRs, Supplier Scorecards, Supplier Ranking

Requirements

  • 2+ years’ experience in a Procurement or Finance department
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Supply Chain, Finance, Business, or related fields
  • Interest and aptitude for the IT Category
  • Understanding of financial analysis and the impacts / savings to be achieved in the procurement categories 
  • Experience with vendor management and/or procurement
  • Ability collaborating with internal and external resources to develop strategies that meet department goals within budget and established timelines.
  • Expert in advanced functions and features in MS Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
