NextCapital is seeking a Program Coordinator to work jointly with NextCapital Software’s Advice team and NextCapital Advisers’ Advice Finance team. We are looking for a collaborative and highly motivated individual to join our team. Our ideal candidate is a strong written and verbal communicator, detail-oriented, and interested in the financial concepts that NextCapital leverages to help everyone retire successfully.

WHAT YOU’LL DO

  • Drive alignment within the Advice Software and Advice Finance teams, including meeting facilitation, project administration, and action item follow-up
  • Maintain and organize team documentation, including meeting notes, team policies & procedures, and non-technical information
  • Facilitate team communication with internal and external stakeholders
  • Assist with coordination of technical implementation projects, including a high-level grasp of the underlying technologies and financial concepts in use
  • Measure and improve internal work management processes, in partnership with other work coordinators
  • Administer team agile sprints using Jira
  • Prepare and distribute progress reports; assist with managing risks and issues; correct deviations from plans; and perform delivery planning for assigned projects
  • Support partner inquiries, escalating as necessary to your team leads
  • Facilitate work breakdown and estimation for upcoming technical milestones, in collaboration with product managers, designers, and engineers

WHERE THIS ROLE MAY LEAD YOU

  • Project Management: Deliver a technical milestone, tracking revenue and cost against a budget
  • Relationship Management: Manage one of our enterprise partner relationships
  • Product Management: Lead a team of engineers and designers to build new software
  • Design: Drive product design decisions, including technical architecture or product strategy

Requirements

WHO WE’RE LOOKING FOR

  • You have a Bachelor’s degree or equivalant experince in this field
  • You have at least 1-3 years of software project management, program coordination, or consulting experience
  • You have a working knowledge of, or interest to learn, technical software and financial concepts relevant to the Advice program area
  • You are organized and interested in helping others organize their work
  • You are a strong written and verbal communicator
  • You are familiar with project management processes and tools
  • You have an eye for identifying risk, waste, or inefficiencies
  • You are highly self-motivated and can thrive in a fast-paced environment
  • You are equally comfortable leveraging a defined process or designing a new one
