Program Manager, Risk & Control
About the Role
As a Program Manager, Risk & Control Monitoring at Chime you’ll be joining our fast-growing Financial Services Operations team by contributing to the monitoring and testing of our Chime credit and debit programs using your sound judgment, innovative thinking, and collaborative decision making. You’ll work closely with both internal and external risk, legal and Member Services teams to ensure we’re effectively mitigating risk via control and policy testing. You’ll report to the Risk and Control Monitoring Manager and will be responsible for supporting and executing process integrity testing, including documentation review and transactional testing. You’ll work with the San Francisco and Chicago offices, as well as fully-remote stakeholders.
For Colorado based roles: In accordance with applicable law, this role has an annual starting salary of $130,000 plus bonus, a competitive equity package, and benefits (see below). The actual pay may be higher depending on your location, skills, qualifications, and experience.
In this role, you can expect to
- Design transactional and control testing to assess efficacy of operational processes across all pillars within Operations & Member Experience organizations, including Financial Crimes & Identity, Fraud, and Dispute OperationsÂ
- Maintain current knowledge of pertinent regulatory requirements applicable all lines of business
- Liaise with business partners to leverage their knowledge base to measure and develop effective business controls and limits
- Support management by assisting with development of annual testing plans by setting goals, strategies, agendas and by providing guidance to other specialists
- Develop and maintain testing plans, sampling strategies, reports, and internal procedures
- Maintain sufficient supporting testing documentation and change management documentation
- Asses and monitor remediation plans proposed by business stakeholdersÂ
- Partner with Legal, Operations managers, Compliance, Engineering, Product, Product Ops, and other teams as needed
- Provide regular reporting to Corporate Compliance, Legal, Risk, and other senior leadership
- Assist with other special projects as needed
To thrive in this role you Â
- Have at least 6 years of experience in financial services, preferably in compliance, risk management, quality assuarnce, and/or audit roles
- Possess strong writing skills; have demonstrated experience writing long-form reports
- Present information to senior management concisely and effectively
- Proactively identify operational risks within multiple domainsÂ
- Have a strong ability to build relationships as well as establish trust and credibility with your colleagues through excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills
- Work effectively in a team environment where flexibility, collaboration, and adaptability are important
- Possess strong critical thinking, multi-tasking, organizational and prioritizing skills
- Want to work for a fast-paced, high-growth organization
- Have advanced Microsoft Office or G Suite skills (basic SQL or experience with Looker is a plus!)
