Your role in helping us shape the future:
You will play a vital role leading Engineering Project Management (EPM) activities for Intelsat’s Hardware Engineering Department. The experience you bring will ensure the successful design & development of technical projects and Intelsat’s continued market leading performance through sustainment activities.
Your projects will include innovative and industry leading Satellite Communication inflight and entertainment systems.
Are you up to the challenge?
- Lead the Hardware Engineering development process and contributing to engineering discussions and decision making
- Ensure all project plans are up-to-date and complete with respect to schedule, cost, and performance/status
- Be proactive when developing contingency plans for potential risk and identifying contingency plan deployment criteria to resolve potential problems
- Managing vendors and service providers to propose and establish the suitability of hardware and/or network architectures to satisfy service requirements
- Conduct regular cross-functional integrated project team meetings to review and update project logistics, schedule, and objectives
- Lead discussions with project participants and stakeholders on significant future improvements or changes (lessons learned/best practices)

- Lead mid-life cycle pre-planned product initiatives, production sustaining activities, and new capability introductions
You should definitely have:
- Bachelor’s degree in a STEM field or equivalent experience
- 5+ years of experience in one or more; Hardware Development, RF, Antennas, Satellite Communications, MODEMs, Antenna Theory, EPM/TPM, Systems Engineering
- Demonstrated application of integrated project management, technical consistent processes, risk management, and product development (leading groups of varying disciplines)
- Extensive knowledge of project management theory, concepts, theory of constraints, critical path methodology, project risk management, and project scope management
- Superior written and verbal communication skills and must be capable of representing Intelsat to vendors and customers
It would be nice if you had:
- MS, MBA or PMP Certification
- Knowledge of aviation standards and testing (e.g., ARINC and DO160)
- Experience with Agile development methodology and JIRA
