Caterpillar's Large Power Systems Division (LPSD) is seeking an experienced Project Leader to partner with the business to help attract talent and ensure business commitments are being met globally by addressing culture, retention opportunities and reviewing ways to track continuous improvements.
This role will be part of the Human Resources team and be responsible for leading multiple projects to advance LSPD talent capabilities with a primary focus on electrification footprint, strategic workforce planning including upskilling, and working with the community to progress initiatives for future production workforce pipeline.
Key objectives for this role will include driving operational excellence and LEAN principles to achieve business commitments. The role will also support other HR initiatives as needed.
Basic Qualifications:
- 5+ years of progressively responsible experience in Human Resources
- Demonstrated experience delivering cross functional projects
- Demonstrated experience in program or project management
- Strong communication and presentation skills
- Ability to develop metrics for core programs and processes, and track delivery against program objectives
- Professional approach and capable of communicating effectively at all levels within a business
- Good verbal, influencing and numerical skills and able to lead teams in problem solving
Top Candidates will also have:
- Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university
- PMP Certification
- Demonstrated experience in change management methodologies
- Comfortable working in a dynamic and constantly changing environment
- Advance knowledge of Excel, MS PowerPoint, and MS Project
- Excellent interpersonal skills are required in order to coach, deal with sensitive issues, develop others, or persuade others to take specific action
- Strong analytical skills are required to perform detailed analysis and prepare strategic plans
- Ability to establish credibility and work with technical and non-technical stakeholders
