ThinkMarkets is seeking a Project Manager - Trading Systems to join our rapidly growing global workforce in Chicago. In this role, you’ll have the opportunity to work on a variety of new projects through a full SDLC cycle involving the latest technology, specifically focusing on our trading and risk management systems.  Working directly with leadership, senior management, and compliance functions, you will have the opportunity to lead and manage global projects that are visible across the entire business and global userbase. The Project Manager holds the key project relationship with senior executives from both Business and Trading Technology and is an integral member of our team.

Responsibilities:

• Actively manage the project portfolio of trading and risk management in terms of sprint planning, prioritization, and resource management
• Possess a deep understanding of the technologies and systems used in capital markets, equites, options and FX trading from order management to market data
• Ability to clarify functional and technical challenges between the development teams quantitative teams and leadership
• Experience with managing complex trading platform deployments and release cycles across multiple asset classes from Equities, FX, and Options
• Forecast, plan, and budget resources, requirements, and deployment strategies with the technology team to a global user base
• Define and track project objectives while developing, maintaining, and reporting on an overall integrated delivery plan
• Collaborate with developers and subject matter experts to establish the technical vision and analyze trade-offs between usability and performance needs 

Requirements:

• Bachelor's or Master’s degree in Computer Science/Systems or similar
• 7+ years of experience in Project Management within trading/financial industry
• Broad knowledge of business functions such as trade capture, pricing, risk (e.g. market, credit, VaR), order management systems, hedging and market making
• Experience working with Web/Mobile FX trading platforms and/or other relevant back-end and front-end systems
• Excellent client-facing communication skills with the ability to understand and communicate issues clearly using appropriate technical vocabulary
• Working knowledge of technologies like React, Java, RESTful APIs, and more
• Knowledge of FIX protocol and integrations for Market Data and Trading
• Experience with Python , Machine Learning and R a strong plus
• Experience of working in Agile environments (SCRUM experience is an added advantage)
• Hold a Project Management certification such as PRINCE2, PMP, CPMP or similar
