Your Job
The Project Manager, Video and Photo is a key role within Built In that will coordinate the execution and delivery of branded content to our customers. You will be the primary point of contact with our customers, writers, freelance videographers, photographers and Account Managers to deliver the highest level of customer service and creative output of Built In Insider Spotlights—our in-depth articles, photography, and video series. Built In is growing fast and this is an exciting opportunity to create our branded creative project management process from the ground up.
Responsibilities
- Manage the creative workflow of Built In Insider Spotlights—our in-depth articles, photography, and video series.
- Collaborate with the Account Management and Content teams to write creative project briefs and coordinate project details with photographers, videographers, writers and editors.
- Construct and manage the Spotlight creative brief with customer counterpart and account management team including setting and managing customer expectations based on the scope of the project including scheduling onsite video/photography shoots and interviews.
- Manage feedback from the team to meet content objectives, maintain healthy collaborative relationships with customers and strategize to deliver the branded content.
- Coordinate, manage and document project schedules, resources (including assigning stories to freelance photographers, writers and videographers across six markets), milestones, results and budgets to ensure timely project outcomes are met.
- Keep track of all content sold, update content calendars, and actively manage deadlines.
- Serves as key contact with project team members to resolve and/or escalate project resource conflicts and enforce deadlines internally and externally.
- Evaluate process at every step and put tools and software in place to automate and simplify experience for our customers and internal resources at every touchpoint.
Your Background
- You should have 3+ years of project management experience in creative service, marketing, or with an agency
- You should be comfortable cultivating strong relationships with key customer project owners and business sponsors
- You should have a proactive focus on delivering an outstanding customer experience and driving to achieve successful customer and business outcomes.
- You are a project manager by nature and understand what it takes to create and manage a process and workflow for content creation across different channels and teams
- You should have a proven track record of managing content projects to successful completion on schedule.
- You should be a self-starter who works well under pressure, has great judgment, and knows how to prioritize and handle multiple deliverables to meet tight deadlines
- You should be familiar with project management systems and be ready to lead and put a process in place
- You must be adept at supporting creative teams to ensure strategic integrity from start of project to finish
- Having a digital production background would be helpful in this role.

- Education - Although a degree in marketing, business or a related field is preferred, we value intelligence, personality, experience and overall fit over a degree.
